The Lord Triumphed

Yes, our God has the final word and the final act.

What are you in need of triumphing over?  Keep asking, God is hearing your request.  He delights in triumphing with you.

What did Jesus triumph over?  Over our enemies in securing spiritual deliverance for his followers.

There is a song called The Song of Moses that was sung on the Sabbath evenings in the synagogue to celebrate Israel’s great deliverance from Egypt.

John is hearing the song coming from the ones whom the “Harps given them by God and sang the song of Moses, the servant of God and the song of the Lamb.  Here are the words to the song, “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty.  Just and true are your ways, king of the ages, who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to you name?  For you alone are holy.  All nations will come before you for your righteous acts have been revealed.”  (Revelation 15: 2-4)

  • Even during tribulation, worship Him.

One commentary said this, “These are the martyrs, only focused on God.  They did not even focus on their own costly and glorious victory.  They have the heart of true worship, understanding that it’s all about God, not about us.”  (David Guzik)

After the song, John looked in heaven and saw the tabernacle in heaven which was opened.

Seven angels come out of the temple with seven plagues.  Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God.  These angels are bringing God’s judgement.

The temple is filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power.  “And no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.”  (Revelation 15: 8)

  • God’s presence and glory are ruling, even in the midst of devastating judgment.
  • Nothing could hinder this judgment, it could not be interrupted nor irreversible.

Yes, our God has the final word and the final act.  He triumphs overall, over evil and over over lives.  He says this about us, those who follow HIm, “His heart is secure, He will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.”  (Psalm 112: 8)

  • See yourself as one who triumphs, because He has triumphed, and we are His!  (Shared from Revelation 15, Modified)

The Psalmist knows the importance of giving God praise.  He is exhorting us to “Let the redeemed of the Lord say this–those He redeemed from the hand of the foe, those He gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.”  (Psalm 107:  2-3)  He goes on further saying,“Give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men, for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”  (Psalm 107: 8-9)

  • Whatever our need is, our God meets.
  • He rescues us from the grave.
  • He truly turns graves into gardens.

Yes, our God triumphs!

(Shared from Psalm 107: 1-22, Modified)

We are about to see the king triumphing over evil in our next story.  Haman, the enemy of Israel, is hurried into the banquet that Esther has prepared.

Again, the king asks Queen Esther, “What is your petition?  It will be given you, what is your request?  Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted.”  (Esther 7: 2)

The king is saying yes before he even hears her request or her petition.

She begins to petition the king, saying, “If I have found favor with you, O King, and if it pleases your majesty, grant me my life–This is my petition.  And spare my people–this is my request.”  (Esther 7: 3)

She then refers to the bribe that Haman offered.  “Let a decree be issued to destroy (a certain people)…”  (Esther 3: 9)  She told the king also of, “The exact amount of money Haman had promised to pay for the destruction of the Jews.”  (Esther 4: 7)

The king then asks, “Who is the man who has done this?  Esther answers, “The adversary and enemy is the vile Haman.”  (Esther 7: 5-6)

Furious the king gets up to leave, and he had him hanged on the very gallows that Haman had built for Mordechai.

  • The Lord My triumphs over His enemies.
  • The Lord triumphs over every evil plan that is plotted against His people.

To See His Triumph

“There is a time for the world to see, that I Am the king who came, to set people free.

My work is not over, I’m seeing it all; stay close to Me, I’ve triumphed over the fall.

As you see plans unfold before you, My rule and reign will be made true.

My Word will be established with promises kept, I’ve seen the posture of many and their tears as they’ve wept.

Your seasons are changing and may seem bleak; keep doing what I’ve told you, it’s I whom to seek.

And as you see truth rising above what’s dark, never forget the covenant displayed as my Ark.

My presence will sustain, as I send the latter rain;  press forward this way, salvation is still for today.

For My power and my glory, shall be embraced as your story.

Your anointing will be released from the place of pain; to let all know that I triumph, rule and reign.

Your courage and your strength reveals my love; that will manifest supernaturally from above.

As Esther was one to go before the king, all heaven rejoices, praises, and sings.

Her course brought hope and deliverance for many, the cost she paid was worth every penny.

Her life was at stake, her vision made clear; A nation chosen and called would be brought near.

His purpose and plan cannot be changed; He’s making it possible for our life to be rearranged.

His plan for you has been made secure; right before your eyes you’ll seen an open door.

The door is wide and open to walk through, It’s My door of opportunity, especially for you.

You don’t need to prove yourself to anyone; just come my child be made undone.

You are one to be adorned and given my crown; lift your head up, there’s no reason to be down.

I’ve chosen you for a high calling to set the captives free; so carry this out, depend and rely on Me.”
