Spiritual Jumpmasters

A jumpmaster is a trained and skilled leader who stands at the open doorway of a military transport aircraft and calls out the jump sequence for a line of waiting paratroopers. They have a vital task needed to accomplish a successful mission.

When the truth is released from Heaven and attached to the life of a believer, it is like a paratrooper descending into a combat zone. The goal of the mission is not simply to enjoy a quiet free-floating ride to Earth without a specific target in mind. It is a strategic jump into a specific landing area within a combat zone where the truth becomes boots on the ground. These troops land to help transform a life, a community, or a nation for Kingdom effect and expansion.

Many forms of teaching today attach the concept of truth to a believer’s life without a specific target in mind. Believers are uninformed of the landing zone where their faith and the truth they carry will land. Some followers of Jesus become nervous when a landing zone for truth is clearly defined. Defining these zones has been dismissed, labeling it as “too political” or “it might cause division.” To be specific can make people feel uncomfortable because it disrupts their illusion of peace.  They have been taught their faith is to float above the turmoil of culture without being taught the gritty realities of the world beneath them.

The Lord is raising up teachers of truth who are like jumpmasters standing at the door of a large military troop transport calling out the jump signal. These jumpmasters have briefed the troops on the reality of where their boots will land and how the truth they carry will be deployed.

Those living in war zones of family discord, financial crisis, or demonic control are waiting for help. So are those living under unrighteous governmental constraint, prejudice, or high-level forms of demonic deception that require a tough tactical intervention of applied truth before freedom can be experienced. These jumps of faith will put a person in harm’s way, but such is the nature of a fully informed paratrooper in God’s Kingdom.
