Are we convinced that no matter what happens in life, that as a child of God, a Christ-follower, we will be taken care of?
The prophet, Habakkuk, has settled this question deep within his heart. He knows that even, “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, YET, I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” (Habakkuk 3: 17-18)
We ask how do we achieve this type of reassurance in our hearts. Why? “The Sovereign Lord is my strength, He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the heights.” (Habakkuk 3: 1-9)
- No matter what, He makes us stand and enables us to climb.
- Embrace and keep holding on to that truth, as a young child does. (Shared from Habakkuk 3, Modified)
The Apostle Paul had to settle some things in his heart too. He shares with his followers of his thorn in his flesh, how a messenger of Satan tormented him. He explains how three times he pleaded with the Lord to take it away, but Jesus answered, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (1 Corinthians 12: 9)
- Climbing higher in spiritual things will invite some warfare into our life.
Paul settled within himself that “Whenever I am weak, then I am strong.” (1 Corinthians 12: 10)
- Our weakness provides an opportunity for His strength.
Paul was operating in the strength of God. He had heard, and saw, “Inexpressible things that a man is not permitted to tell.” (2 Corinthians 12: 4)
- Visions and revelations are part of climbing higher with God.
You may be a target when you grow spiritually. Settle it today! Trust that God’s power will be released because of His surpassing grace.
- Grace will position you in your place. (Shared from 2 Corinthians 12, Modified)
His grace is sufficient in every area of our lives. As I read the historical records and genealogies, there were many great deeds and accounts of our God on Israel’s behalf. To us, as we read the ancestry, they look like just a group of names, but to God they are people that are precious, that are His children, who have a divine purpose from birth to death. We are all descendants, a people, a nation that belong to God.
You are of great significance to God. Your life matters, settle that today! You are in the genealogy of our Lord, He knew you before you were born. You are beautifully and wonderfully made, in His image.
