Yes, our Redeemer lives! A redeemer is one who compensates for the faults or bad aspects of something or to gain or regain possession of something in exchange for payment. What was the payment for us, we ask?
The payment was Jesus’ own life!
He paid the ultimate price to become our Redeemer. He brought us back from the realm of darkness and sin and restored us back to life, eternal life.
Redemption is being rescued, ransomed, and set free because of God’s love for us. Jesus paid the price for you.
We have this promise, “With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever.” Hebrews 9: 12
One sacrifice covered all forever!
For this, I am forever grateful. Forever means always, continually, and permanently. If we have not been redeemed by Him here’s what will happen:
“Calamity will surely destroy the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be punished. But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in Him will be condemned.” Psalm 34: 21-22
Our service to Him is never wasted.
Learn to take refuge in Him in all circumstances and at all times. Make it your decree. “This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.” Psalm 91: 2
Job in all of his suffering and complaining that his friends have not understood him. Then he shouts out this proclamation: “I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.” Job 19: 25
No matter what we go through. this truth is worth proclaiming.
Our Redeemer Lives!
