Prayer

When our prayer is focused on Him, we can have faith in what we pray for.

Prayer isn’t simply us telling God what we need. Jesus knew what we needed before the foundation of the world. Prayer is us knowing that Jesus is the answer, and confirming that in faith.

Faith isn’t believing we will get all that we ask. Faith is believing that no matter the outcome, God is working it out for our good and His glory.

His ways are higher than our ways.

He knew the end, from the beginning.

He sits above it all, and He sees what we don’t.

John 14:13–14

“And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.”

The goal is to be aligned with His ways and His word. Does our ask glorify the Son?

Despite what we see in the natural.

Despite what our heart wants.

Despite what we think is best.

Despite the temporary.

Do we trust Him?

When our prayer is focused on Him, we can have faith in what we pray for.

Because our faith is in Christ.

To know Him, and to be known by Him…this is the blessing of prayer.
