Where True Value Is
With Heavenly Father, much that we consider important is not – and what we consider unimportant is important. This is a difference between Heaven (Kingdom) ways and earth ways. It’s in our best interest to discover how to live in both. We have a dual citizenship, “for our citizenship is in heaven” (NASB, Philippians 3:20).
People are important. Land is important. Time is important.
24 Hour Recovery
Over two decades ago after a turbulent time, I attempted to regain stability and heal. It had been intense and painful.
On a certain day (time-related), waves of painful emotion rolled over me as breakers, and I felt very overwhelmed. My response was anger at Heavenly Father, as I thought I could trust Him past the wounds I carried and that it was over — and life could be steady again.
Within 24 hours, thanks be to God, Father caused information to come across my path, alerting me that this “day” (time-frame) had been targeted with witchcraft in an organized manner.
That moment changed me.
I learned that negatives could be neutralized by a perspective and heart position change.
1. In the “moment” that I (or you) feel pain intensify, something beyond me is happening.
2. It is not from Heavenly Father. If He has us walk through a time of difficulty, He carries us; it’s not this heavy, overwhelming, suffocating, debilitating pain.
3. He quickly helps lift it and carry me, if only I come to Him (instead of running or raging).
That truly helped!
Quickly, I recovered.
Kingdom Pearls Revealed
However, neutralizing the negatives felt very unsatisfactory, and a rather low target.
After carrying inner discontent with that end-game for months, I discussed this with my prayer partner, and the idea sparked to bless the time.
A year later, after prayer and reflection, I formed a blessing for a certain time and sent it to a select group. The response surprised me – they ardently received and prayed in agreement. They, too, had experienced and/or recognized the negative presence and waves in time and wanted to stand with Father to establish and expand His Kingdom in this realm.
What happened was, as I continued in intentionally agreeing with Father and blessing in the times He highlighted, that I walked into a prepared place of blessing myself in that time!
Instead of negatives assailing me, good things happened! That changed my anticipation and expectation of the time which then continued to expand the new cycle of blessing.
Through that personally low place, Father walked me right on the path of discovering a pearl of great price, like the merchant in Matthew 13:45-46.
A Kingdom Way
Here’s what I discovered:
1. If a certain time continues to carry pain and/or trouble, then Father designed something very good there – because only what is valuable attracts a thief.
2. Since Father designed importance and value in a time (this applies to a person, land, and all that is important), then I can partner with Him to speak life, to co-create new life, to bless it, to take action that He’s leading.
3. When I partner with Him in this manner, I receive blessings, too. This creates a new, good cycle for me.
4. His goodness meeting me there re-creates my expectation and anticipation. These co-create with Father to establish and expand the cycle of blessing.
All this happened because He did not leave me in a place of pain, and He revealed His presence and love and goodness for me there – and He is doing this for you, too.
