Kingdom Kids: 5 Ways to Make New Friends

Treat others the way you would want them to treat you!

Posted on

It can be hard to make new friends and connect with new people. Here are five ways to make new friends every day:

1. Ask them to sit with you

Maybe at lunch or any other time in the day, ask someone to sit with you and bond with them. This is a perfect way to make new friends!

2. Find a bus buddy

Do you sit with someone on your bus you don’t know? (Probably not right now because of Covid, but you will have a chance again!) Talk to them! I have made great friends over the years like this. Try it!

3. Just go over and say, “Hi!”

Simple enough. Plus, it sometimes works. I mean, it’s always an option…

4. Find someone who likes what you like

Then go say something like, “Oh! Cool! I have a pet turtle too!”

This is a great way to make friends.

5. Ask A grownup to help you

Ask a trusted grown-up at home if they have any friends with kids around your age. Then ask them when you can meet them!

I hope this helps you make new friends!  The most important thing to remember is this: Treat others the way you would want them to treat you!  If you are kind and loving to others, people will want to be your friend!
