As I was in prayer, I heard God say, “Stop trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.” He was speaking to me about a routine I was trying to establish, however, it has not been working. I’ve been trying to force it to fit, but the Lord was gracious enough to show me the adjustment that needed to take place for me to bear the fruit needed.
I feel this is a word for many right now as we are in a season of shifting, mantle changes, resets, preparation, and realignment. We are being called deeper into the secret place and into a divine alignment, which accompanies purging and discomfort. Not fun but needed!
Some of you need to stop and assess where you are trying to force things to happen and they are simply not working. Some of you need to assess where you are striving, yet seeing no more evidence of the favor flowing. Some of you need to stop trying to revive things that are dead. They were good for then but not the best for now.
I saw some of your plans being interrupted by the Lord. You thought you were walking one way but He has redirected you a different way. I saw new weapons being given and old weapons being sharpened. Some of you are in an unexpected season of training and equipping. He is preparing you for the new thing, which requires new language, new mindsets, and new weapons!
It doesn’t make sense and it may not be comfortable but it’s time to lay down what’s comfortable and give in to where the Holy Spirit is leading you. This is an invitation to pause, reflect, and readjust to His heart rhythm. What feels frustrating and lacking fruit is an opportunity to rest and receive the goodness of God in this season. What feels like a setback is a setup for expansion, character development, and spiritual maturing.
Just give in! Choose to trust Him. His ways are so much better than ours. Find the peg that fits. It will take an adjustment, which requires risk, courage, humility, and flexibility. You’ve got this!
