As I prayed more, the Lord began to speak to me about the years past. There have been so many lies, so much manipulation, and so much propaganda, but the Lord is about to expose everything and make crooked paths straight. What he began to speak to me about seemed like common knowledge, but he placed emphasis on it for this specific season we are in. He said, “People have simply got away from the word of God, the biblical truth.” I began to pray into it more and the Lord said, “First, pray that as my spirit of judgment comes upon people, they will repent.” I responded, “Lord, I think some people are so lost, they don’t know how to repent.” But the Lord said, “My heart is always to restore people.” It is important in this season to keep our hearts pure, and we should never celebrate the downfall of another. God is moving on the hearts of those far from him, and as the body of Christ, we should be interceding for all to come to the kingdom of God.
This past presidential election that the United States just had was, in my opinion, the most spiritual election of our lifetime. This is a very pivotal time in our nation, and when you are dealing with something spiritual it is important to be able to discern. If you are not able to navigate spiritually, then you won’t know what to do. A huge portion of pastors didn’t know how to address the election from the pulpit because they didn’t understand the ramifications of the spiritual things. Most people only saw red and blue, elephant or donkey, Republican or Democrat, but what they didn’t see was the spiritual importance of the outcome of the most recent election.
Contrary to anything political, on Monday November 4, I had an influx of calls from our mentoring program and partners in our ministry. I was blown away by the calls on Monday and over the past few weeks about how many associate pastors, not out of dishonor or disrespect, would call and say how they are concerned about their pastor losing their way completely. It is dangerous to think that we don’t need the holy spirit, or biblical teachings in the church.
Schemes and itching ears preaching may last for a season, but there is no denying that there is no replacement for the true fire of God. It reminds me of a story from 1 Kings. On Mount Caramel when it was the Man of God versus the prophets of Baal, the false prophets had produced fake fire for so long that they truly believed that the fire was real. It was able to fool them for a time, but when it came to a showdown, and the man of God called on the holy spirit to show them true fire, the power of God fell upon them with real fire. This is exactly what has happened in the church, but the true fire of God is going to cancel out every fake scheme that the enemy has tried to confuse God’s people with.
Over the course of the past few years I have become clear of one thing, people are ready for real. Even in the past election, it has become abundantly clear, that people are ready for a radical change. We are going to begin to see it in the churches, people hungry for what is real and won’t settle for the fake fire used to cause distractions. This is not just America, it is global, things are changing everywhere. When the Lord spoke, “Judgment is Coming” I truly believe he meant that people who have lied and manipulated for so long and have begun to believe their own lies will become exposed. God is on the move in our nation and nations around the globe, and I can’t wait for the kingdom of God to advance in this season.
