OPINION – The truckers have risen up and organized to send a powerful message. They have taken a bold stand against the ever-increasing tyranny that is taking place in Canada, the United States, and around the world.

The truckers’ courage and conviction, along with their peaceful protests and demonstrations, have greatly inspired and encouraged billions of people across the globe.

Conversely, the response and actions of the government, the propaganda and lies of corporate media, and the dutiful complicity and collusion of big tech and financial institutions have sent shock waves throughout the citizenry! The ruthless hearts and intentions of these institutions and corporations have now been fully exposed.

In the United States, the metastasizing tyranny starts with the illegitimate squatters installed in our government and the virtual entirety of the self-serving swamp that surrounds them in DC. Oh, the UniParty, bureaucratic corruption, and an increasingly activist judiciary have had strongholds there for decades, but seizing control of the Executive branch and the Senate have vaulted things forward at warp speed.

In Canada, we are witnessing a dictator and full-fledged totalitarian regime unfold before our eyes. The polite, placid, and peace-loving Canadian people are seeing Justin Trudeau (who many believe is the son of former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro) assert a level of authoritarianism almost unimaginable to them.

It was heartbreaking to watch the Government-enlisted thugs club unarmed, peaceful protestors in the head and trample an elderly disabled woman and others on horseback. Video footage captured a female news reporter (who, coincidently, had recently angered Trudeau with a difficult question) being bashed in the head with a club and shot point-blank in the leg with a pepper spray canister by an “unmarked cop”—for what looked like simply holding a microphone in the crowd.

It was similarly heartbreaking to hear how GoFundMe, banks, and the Canadian government brazenly seized assets and froze accounts to cripple and punish anyone with the audacity to oppose dangerous, experimental vax mandates and ongoing lockdowns. It was very disturbing to watch the government threaten to take pets from protestors and potentially euthanize them. It was deeply distressing to watch a young mother hauled off in handcuffs and reportedly held in solitary confinement without bail for planning “mischief.”

All these tyrannical actions were in response to peaceful protests and small donations from freedom-loving patriots that have seemed to be in accordance with their constitutional rights. It also is in marked contrast to the governmental response to the fiery and destructive “protests” and riots led by ANTIFA and BLM over the past couple of years—which Trudeau himself outwardly supported through marching with the protesters.

Although we were extremely fortunate to have had a lion-hearted disruptor in the White House for four years, he was surrounded by the “Benedicts” and “Judases” of the DC scene actively undermining him at every turn. Beyond that, virtually everything else was stacked against him other than the continually expanding support of “We the People” outside the Beltway.

Still, it has become apparent that Donald Trump is but one man. He did great things, but the events over the past two years highlight that he alone was not, and is not, going to save us.

Most Patriots have come to realize that saving the “Shining City on the Hill” is going to require “We the People” to fight the battle, blessed by the favor and will of God. The same is true of Canada and other nations.

To that end, despite what they endured and how they were disbanded in Canada, the effect of the truckers’ actions was to issue a loud trumpet call for the People to stand up for our freedom, our liberties, and our faith!

It is time for “We the People,” or the citizenry of this Republic, to take back the power that is vested in us through the Constitution. It is past time to stand up and take back what the swamp monsters in DC (and to a lesser degree, state, city, and local governments and school boards), big tech, and global elites have stolen from us.

For decades, churches were neutered by the Johnson Amendment—and some might suggest, “Mammon.” They exchanged their political voice to protect their tax-free status. The churches also discovered that this shielded them to grow by allowing pastors to avoid saying anything that might offend congregants.

A few years ago, President Trump boldly eliminated the Johnson Amendment, freeing pastors to get their voice back and allowing them to shepherd their flock. But, despite an increasingly sharp contrast being drawn between good and evil, most pastors have not taken their voices back.

They have seemed to choose church growth and revenue, or perhaps cowardice, over taking issue with and taking a stand against wicked agendas and the destruction of our nation built upon the Rock. Most have been silent as the enemy and his minions progressively steal away the “Shining City on the Hill” and speed towards communism.

To me, this makes these “houses of worship” feel extremely hollow. We are in unprecedented times with evil being exposed for all to see—with a rapidly increasing urgency to act now before it is too late—yet pastors continue to go out of their way to avoid addressing what’s happening all around them!

Many practice the art of doublespeak to sound eloquent, thoughtful, and caring—but at the same time create a blank canvass for their audience to interpret according to their own lens. Pastors often cordon off current events as forbidden territory, passing it off as “politics”—but how can we be salt and light in the world without understanding what is happening in the world?

The truth is that we need pastors to step up as leaders in these dark times, now more than ever! We need them to be important voices, thought leaders, and role models to preserve this nation and the Kingdom values it was built upon.

As the darkness continues to quickly encroach like walls closing in, “We the People” must quickly organize and act to preserve what our founding fathers and brave Patriots fought so hard to birth in this nation—our inalienable, God-given rights!

Surely some pastors have stood courageously, speaking truth and serving as strong role models for others to emulate and follow. We can again look to Canada for inspiration, where Pastor Artur Pawlowski, who grew up in communist Poland, took a strong position against shutting down churches through the pandemic and encouraged citizens to stand up for their rights.

But unfortunately, most churches and pastors have appeared to remain silent rather than fight the battle against the Marxism poised to take total control.

Inspired by the truckers, I join a growing cry to those pastors to stand up and be leaders in this epic, urgent battle to preserve our freedom, our liberties, and our faith!

The Canadian truckers stood up when most of the Canadian preachers would not. The same thing is happening in the USA. Truckers are driving the point home, while our pastors hide behind the false security of gun-toting congregants. Where is our God in that scenario? If our God-given rights don’t mean any more than that, what does our God think of us?
