In the days leading up to the fourth Sunday in Advent, I kept feeling and had the sense we’ve been in a Holy Moment. Then on Sunday 12/20/20 during worship I heard the Lord say:
“This is a Holy Moment. You are in the eye of the storm! Enjoy this Holy Moment and turn your eyes towards Me. It’s the peace in the midst of the storm. You are living in the space at the eye of the storm* and are being given a Holy Moment space of time. Prepare yourself and be ready for when the storm rages again.”
We are living in a “Holy Moment.” We are in the eye of the storm. God has granted us a “Holy Moment” of reprieve to refocus and anchor ourselves to Him. Turn your hearts and eyes from your plans and look heavenward to see what God is doing. Position Yourself and be ready for when the storm begins to rage again. Anchor yourself to the ONE who never changes and never fails. His ways are not our ways and His plans are not ours. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
*When you are in the eye of the storm, all is quiet, peaceful, and still. The storm has been raging and then suddenly it’s not – – for but a moment, a space of time – – and then just as suddenly, the storm begins again and continues to rages on until it completely passes.
Editors note: In speaking with the author, Debbie Kitterman, she shared with me that she believes this reprieve will be about two weeks and will end close to the celebration of Epiphany. Unbeknownst to her, until she looked it up, this occurs on January 6th.
