Have you ever thought of Jesus as the Creator? The longer I know Him the more I begin to understand that He is more than what I imagined.
Jesus is our Creator. He was present with the Father when the world was created and everything in it. He was even there when mankind was created. In the book of Genesis, the book of beginnings, it says, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule,” Genesis 1: 26
If we look at these words, us and our, they are plural, meaning more than one. God the Father is speaking with Jesus (God the Son) and Holy Spirit. (God the Holy Spirit). The mystery of the Trinity is revealed here. This clearly denotes that each are co-creators unified as one and equally one.
In the New Testament, it says, “Through him (Jesus) all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” John 1 : 3
How many things were made? Yes, all things!
Another confirmation of Jesus being Creator is from this familiar verse that is amplified: “For by Him all things were created in heaven and on earth, [things] visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [that is, by His activity] and for Him.” Colossians 1: 16
There is no denying that Jesus is our Creator.
Still not convinced?  Let’s look at what Isaiah said, “This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer and Creator: “I am the Lord, who made all things. I alone stretched out the heavens.  Who was with me when I made the earth?”  Isaiah 44: 24
He continued, “For your Creator will be your husband; the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is His name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth.” Isaiah 54: 5
Do you need Him to create something?
He is able to create–to bring something into existence. Look what He has already created! YOU are part of His beautiful creation!
As we press forward in this new life in Christ, Paul exhorts us to, “Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and He lives in all of us.” Colossians 3: 10-11
