Chasing the Lost

Each and every one of us is called to evangelize.

Posted on

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. ” Mark 6:15

There’s not one person on this entire planet more important than another to God.

We would do well to remember that.

The unsaved CEO.

The unsaved man with a needle in his arm.

Same.

The Gaderine – naked and demonized.

Just as important as Paul.

Same.

Your pastor.

The prostitute.

Same.
Same.
Same.
Same.

But what has happened to evangelizing?

I don’t mean catchy Facebook memes and long-winded posts.

I mean CONNECTION.

TRUE. FACE TO FACE. CONNECTION.

Each and every one of us is called to evangelize.

EVERYONE.

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.  2 Corinthians 5:20

Let’s stop chasing people with platforms and positions and start chasing the lost.

What good is the next Christian conference if we won’t share the gospel with our neighbor?

We think we’re called to the nations, but won’t share the gospel with the checkout girl.

We want to fly to Africa, but we won’t break bread with the homeless woman we pass every morning.

Everyone wants to be a prophet, but who’s doing life with the new convert?

Where have the evangelists (off of social media) gone?

Help us, Lord.
