LANDMARK CHURCH

PASTOR MATTHEW MAHER

OCEAN CITY, NEW JERSEY

“How Then Should We Respond?” confronts the reality of persecution and the lies that fuel it. From Tertullian’s defense of early Christians to Jesus’ own trial, we see that truth will always be twisted by a world that hates the light. Yet God uses suffering not to break us but to train us in obedience, preparing us for greater faithfulness. And because our lives are hidden with Christ, even death itself becomes victory, not defeat. The call is simple and urgent: stand firm in truth, endure in hope, and live as those already surrendered to Jesus.

About the Author

Matthew Maher is an author, speaker, and pastor. Through various vocations, he aims to inspire conscience and instigate conviction. Matthew has gone from pro to con to Christ (From the heights of success to the flatline of failure). As a professional soccer player, he followed the trends of the world while ignoring the truth of God’s Word.

As a result, in 2009, a life-altering failure would change his trajectory and have him collide head-on with the redemption of the Savior. Now he is no longer persuaded by the trends of the culture around him and is committed to share the truth of Christ within him, whatever the cost.
