Do you consider yourself to be faithful?
When one is faithful, they are firm in devotion. As we look at this Fruit of Faithfulness, we are reminded that “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” Hebrews 11: 6a If we continue with the rest of the verse it says, “…Because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11: 6b
Faith is the foundation of what and who we believe in.
God has said, “To the faithful you show yourself faithful…” Psalm 18: 25
God shows His faithfulness for the simple reason that “All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of His covenant.” Psalm 25: 10
So, the question is: Are we faithful? Are we seeking to keep the demands of this covenant? We are in a covenant relationship with God which should warrant us to be faithful, first to Him and then to others.
How can our faithfulness shine forth in our devotion to God?
When we commit to pray or be part of a ministry team, are we faithful to carry out what we are assigned to? Part of being faithful is to not only start passionately but to finish strong as well. Sometimes folks fizzle out somewhere in the middle.
So, as I close, I exhort you in this: Be faithful till the end. God will reward your faithfulness as you yield to the Spirit of God not to give up and not turn back but keep walking out your faith. For we “Walk (live) by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5: 7
Make it your goal to please Him. We do that by yielding to the Holy Spirit.
May the Fruit of Faithfulness impart to us an overabundance of belief and confidence in God and all that He promises.
