A broken heart that leads to Jesus Christ is better than mediocre happiness that draws you away from Him.
Finding solace and healing in Christ after experiencing a broken heart and sin is a profound and transformative experience. It is a testament to the depth of His love and the power of His Grace.
Romans 6:14
For sin will have no dominion over you since you are not under law but under grace.
Speaking from experience: In these moments of pain and heartbreak, we can turn to Jesus Christ and find comfort, understanding, and a renewed sense of purpose.
A reason to live, love, and shine our light in Christ. Truthfully it’s impossible to shine our light without the presence of the Spirit of the Lord.
Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before others so they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Indeed, temporary happiness or distractions may offer a mask of relief, but they often lead us astray from our relationship with Jesus Christ. These facades can substitute for true fulfillment and prevent us from seeking the healing and restoration only our Savior can provide.
1 Peter 5:10
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
It is through Grace that Christ will restore you, having nothing to do with worldly pursuits but Agape love.
I encourage you to choose Jesus over mediocre happiness by prioritizing your faith in the One who holds our Salvation.
Through repentance and recognizing that a humble heart paves the way for true joy and contentment, we can find solace and fulfillment in Jesus. It is through acknowledging our need for His grace and surrendering our brokenness to Him that we open ourselves up to His transformative power.
Repentance involves turning away from our sins and seeking forgiveness from Jesus. It is an act of humility, acknowledging our shortcomings and our need for His mercy.
It’s a process, and through this process, we let go of the mediocre happiness that draws us away from Him and instead embraces the profound joy that comes from a deep and intimate relationship with our Savior.
When our hearts are humble, we become open to receiving the love, forgiveness, and healing that Jesus offers. We recognize that true happiness cannot be found in worldly pursuits or superficial pleasures but in the unconditional love and grace of Jesus Christ. It is in Him that we find lasting contentment and a sense of purpose that transcends our brokenness.
It is a transformative journey that leads us closer to Him and allows His love to mend our brokenness and bring us into a deeper relationship with Him.
It’s time to surrender your brokenness to Jesus, allowing Him to mend your heart and transform your pain into purpose.
I assure you that Jesus is everything to everyone, and submitting your whole heart means finding strength, hope, and peace in His presence, even amid our trials, sickness, pain, and, yes—our sadness.
Ultimately, and the crux of my message, is a broken heart that leads us to Jesus is a blessing in disguise.
Carnal pain and taking accountability can open our eyes to the emptiness of worldly pursuits and redirect our focus toward a deeper relationship with our Savior.
True happiness is not found in fleeting pleasures and worthless relationships that cause us pain but in the eternal love and grace of Jesus Christ.
Love is not painful; that’s just something people say who haven’t truly experienced Jesus in the Spirit.
Romans 13:10
Love does not harm a neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.
Love is real; it’s simple and silly but solid and sound—it is a character-builder that never cuts you down.
