Waiting, God, and the Kairos Circle

I’ve found that when you’re searching for the Father’s heart, you find His gifts and His goodness in the loveliest places.

When I first met Jessica Satterfield, it was through an interview. We met to talk about her work for the Kingdom, her passion for infertility, miscarriage, fostering, and adoption. But what others didn’t know from the piece was that I’d been following her blog for ages. At 22 years old, and in the thicket of praying for a husband, I stumbled across her website, where she wrote about waiting for a baby. And for the first time in a long time, my deep desires for marriage didn’t sound so silly.

Since then, Jessica and I have stayed connected. She’s continued to develop an incredible ministry, launched a podcast with her friend, Caroline Harries, and I’ve published my book on singleness and the desire for marriage. There’s been a very special parallel between our passions, despite our differences in age and seasons. And I’ve found that when you’re searching for the Father’s heart, you find His gifts and His goodness in the loveliest places.

Take a listen to this special episode from “A Cup Full of Hope,” where Jessica and Caroline talk about God, Gluten-Free Mac & Cheeseand the Kairos Circle.

Rachael’s testimony can be summed up in four little words: from ash to glitter. She's witnessed Jesus transform her brokenness into extravagance and now she brings her ‘extra’ self to boardgames, lip-sync battles, and costume contests. Currently, she lives in South Carolina where she works as the Membership Engagement Coordinator for Kingdom Winds and devotes time to writing, teaching, and crafting dangly earrings.
