The Holy Spirit Our Helper

Reminding us, He’s never left nor forsaken us; He speaks softly.

Trapped in ideological thoughts swirling about, we question.
Looking for answers, wise in our ways, we forge ahead.
Coming up empty, lost in confusion, we seek wisdom and help.
Calling on the Helper, responding readily, He helps as needed.
Reminding us, He’s never left nor forsaken us; He speaks softly.

Ready and willing, He comes with wisdom and understanding.
Taking us by the hand, showing the path, He instructs.
Filled with confidence and assurance, we press forward to gain.
Acknowledging Him in all our ways, He teaches us to trust.
Not putting confidence in self, we relinquish all authority to Him.

Intimately acquainted with our futures, He guides unswervingly.
Instructing to rely on Him as our Helper daily, He speaks.
Knowing He never leaves nor forsakes us, we speak boldly.
Confidently in all things, He’s proclaimed as our Helper.
No longer lost in confusion, we trust Him as our assistant.

When circumstances of life pull down, He’s there to pull up.
With just a touch He plants our feet on solid ground.
From His eternal perspective, He fills the mind with vision.
Raised, seated next to Christ, He shows eternal riches.
From His perspective, seated beside Christ, He comforts.

With the mind set on those things above, He relieves the weight.
The eternal weight of glory glimpsed; we no longer lose heart.
With our thoughts in sync with His, our Helper strengthens daily.
Knowing that we have such a Helper, we can now do all things.
With the advantage given, we’re more than conquerors in Christ.

Prayer

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for releasing Your Holy Spirit into my life. I receive Him as the helper of my joy. Amid the circumstances of life that tend to weigh down at times, help me always draw strength from the help He provides. Help me to lean upon Your sufficiency rather than my strength.
