Kingdom Kids: 5 Things to Be Thankful for (Part 2)

Some more ideas to get you started in giving thanks!

Posted on

It’s important to be thankful.  Being thankful will help you even when your life is really hard or you’re sad about something.  There is still always a reason to give thanks.  The secret is to look for the reasons you often miss.  Let’s get started with Bekah’s top 5 things to be thankful for part 2, and I hope you will make your own list of things to be thankful for when you are done reading here today:

1. Toys

Some kids don’t have toys. If you have them you should be very thankful. I am.

2. Holidays

You should be thankful for holidays. We usually think of big holidays like Christmas, but did you know every day of the year is a holiday of some sort?  (Click here to see the list!)

3. TV

You probably have one. These are wonderful for snuggling up and making memories with friends and families.

4. Candy

You usually have it at Halloween, but you can have it year-round too.  I am thankful for candy because it’s SOOO good.

5. Coats and warm clothing

It is so important in cold months. It helps you not get sick in the winter. You should be thankful for small stuff like this.

Do you see how short and simple my list is?

Some of the things on my list are things we take for granted – like clothing.

But imagine life without a closet of warm clothes.  Imagine life without candy.  How sad it would be.  Now it’s your turn.  Go ahead and make your list of 5 things to be thankful for.  Even if you don’t write it down, it will cheer you up!
