2021: A Wrestle or a Dance?

It is time to draw very near— take his hand, and fix your eyes upon his— let the dance begin.

I recently had an encounter with the Lord regarding 2021 and beyond that was both simple yet profound. In the encounter I heard the words, “It will be either a wrestle or a dance.”

Then I saw a vision of Jesus inviting his people to dance with him. I knew that he had been teaching his remnant to move in step with him in a new, more aligned way during 2020. It will be so vitally important to “let him lead” in the days ahead. The dance will be intimate, face to face, and hand in hand but his feet will lead and ours must learn to follow. There is a saying that dance instructors use that is important to remember,

“Don’t look at your feet but rather look in my eyes and your feet will follow.”

As we keep our eyes fixed upon his, our feet will easily follow.

Then I saw others who insisted on functioning the way that had always done before. They were still trying to take the lead (in their personal Christian life, in family, in ministry, in business, and in government). They immediately began stepping on Jesus’ feet and getting all tangled up in his steps. What was designed to be a dance suddenly became a wrestle. It will be a much harder path for those who do not draw near and let the Lord lead.

I choose the dance and I pray that you will too! It is time to draw very near— take his hand, and fix your eyes upon his— let the dance begin.

“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” Hebrews‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭

Amen!
