There is the struggle to resist sin in order to be able to follow God’s ways of living.
The Sabbath is a large chalice overflowing with the wine of abundance. It is the Bread of Life, broken, and forever filling.
Rest must be our strategy.
When we take a Sabbath rest, we acknowledge our dependence on God.
Ask the Lord for dreams and instructions that you will carry into the daytime hours.
Resting sufficiently can help rebuild your energy levels and strengthen your immune system, especially if you’re dealing with chronic stress.
It is important that each day we practice strategies to find rest in the midst of our busyness.
How you view God (a loving Papa or a punitive, judgmental God), will determine how well you rest.
To enter the resting place of His presence requires me to turn from myself and admit that I need Him.
We could all use some moments of slow.
It’s important to incorporate some positive habits to best manage your health and reduce stress and anxiety.
You have permission to take a break from that which is out of your control in order to walk with Him in the cool of the day.
Your place might not be a sleeping forest on a damp spring morning, but today, I encourage you to go to your restful place.

When we sleep, we are saying — in that same spirit of faith — that God will protect us.
So if Jesus already won the war what is my part in the battle?

I believe with all of my heart that God provides all that we need for complete wellness right here on earth.
Gather at the Table today and feast on the Banquet that God has prepared for you.
Our bodies need rest. They need stillness, a time-out, rare moments of nothing.
I hope you haven’t, but this afternoon that is exactly what I visualized as it felt like my peace, vision, and even breath was being sucked out of my head.

When we meet our spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical needs,
we have the resources to invest in our growth process and the attitude required for it to happen!
It’s very easy to start feeling like the lack of forward momentum or breakthrough is because of something you are not doing…
This is not simply about getting into a good sleep pattern or finding sleep-aids that guarantee a restful night’s sleep.
O Lord, what’s on Your heart today? What do You long to say?
The technology that has become ubiquitous in our 21st-century lives is distinct
in that it merges with our daily lives to the extent that it is never very far from our minds.
Finding a daily routine that fits life can definitely feel like a theme park ride on the tallest and most dangerous roller coaster.
My heart yearns to make all that I do more about Him and less about me.
When we’re too busy, we tend not to make time for proper self-reflection, for processing our thoughts and feelings and fail to grow as a result.
Will you seek to come away and spend time with Me today?
I AM all that you will ever need. Have you asked me into your heart? Have you come to Me with all your needs?
My Covenant Love is beckoning to you. Will you answer My call?
That conditioned me to see my worth in what I do and what I have to offer rather than seeing my worth as who I am.
The only way I felt I could finish my degree with sanity was to physically remove myself from campus and to come home and finish school online.
I say no to things that wouldn’t allow me to live up to the full potential God wants for my life —so I can be rested and available for the things He wants to do in me and through me.
