2 Timothy 2:2

You will leave a spiritual legacy — but will it be one of discipleship or dysfunction? In this Youth Sunday message, we look at 2 Timothy 2:2 and the Paul–Timothy model of generational discipleship. Learn why the Gospel wasn’t meant to stop with you but to flow through you, and how your link in the Gospel chain can shape generations to come—featuring the powerful contrast between Jonathan Edwards’ family legacy and Max Jukes’. Here’s the truth: The faith you keep to yourself dies with you, but the faith you pass on will outlive you.

About the Author

Matthew Maher is an author, speaker, and pastor. Through various vocations, he aims to inspire conscience and instigate conviction. Matthew has gone from pro to con to Christ (From the heights of success to the flatline of failure). As a professional soccer player, he followed the trends of the world while ignoring the truth of God’s Word.

As a result, in 2009, a life-altering failure would change his trajectory and have him collide head-on with the redemption of the Savior. Now he is no longer persuaded by the trends of the culture around him and is committed to share the truth of Christ within him, whatever the cost.
