You Will Receive Change For Change

Angels with bags of change are posted and waiting to see who to pour out the offering upon and the places where change is to break forth.

Beginning in 2002, my family began living in British Columbia, serving as the directors of a house of prayer called The War Room, which Patricia King had opened the year before. As US citizens living in a foreign country, we could not receive income or a salary. Therefore, we were dependent on the Lord to lead people to give us gifts of support to provide for our family of six as we served in this position. Actually, this is still how we live as we continue to serve wherever he leads us to go.

On one particular Sunday in 2005, we were in a financial state that I’d call “dire straits.” We were out of money with the exception of some change at the bottom of my purse. In British Columbia, they have one and two-dollar coins called “loonies and toonies” (the loonie is a one-dollar coin and the toonie is their two-dollar coin). I had a single loonie and two toonies (equaling $7) that I was holding onto for milk for our family.

We had no idea when or where more provision would come from, but we were trusting the Lord to come through once again.

On that Sunday morning, the Spirit of the Lord asked me to give my all. I thought, “All I have is change.” But once again, I heard the Lord ask me to give it all. So when the offering plate came by, I put all of my money into it. All seven dollars— all my change.

Somehow, we made it through that week, but still nothing came in to help us financially. These moments tested our faith but produced endurance and character in us.

The next Sunday, our church had an unusually large crowd because it had just hosted a large conference, and many of the attendees had remained onsite to join in our Sunday service. After worship, one of the leaders stood up and said that when he woke up that morning, the Lord showed him a couple who had given sacrificially of their lives to move to their nation and lead the house of prayer.

He then called out our names and asked us to come forward. We were taken quite by surprise and went forward. He then placed two chairs in front of the stage and said, “I saw the Lord pouring change over them! Come and pour out all the change that you have over them!” He called it a “Loonie/Toonie” offering, which was what I had given the week before. He had no Idea what I had done, so this was the sweetest kiss from our Heavenly Father, who only saw what I had done.

People began to come forward, pouring out their coins into our laps. Then they began to give bills and checks. We were literally showered in change and provision.

When it was done, over $7000 was poured over us!! We went from offering $7 to receiving $7,000.00!

This memory has been brought back to my mind over and over again for the past week (because I just shared this story at a women’s event that I was speaking at). Whenever the memory comes, I hear the words, “Change for Change!” I’ve heard this before, and now I am hearing it again.

My sense is that God is about to change the condition of many in what feels like “dire straits” circumstances, or have reached a place where things have dried up. He may ask you for an offering, but if he does, know that your seed will bring forth more than you can hold.

Just as the disciples listened to the voice of the Lord when they had caught nothing, he asked them to throw their fishing nets on the other side. Their act of faith resulted in a catch bigger than their nets could hold. Or remember the young boy who gave his five fish and two loaves (another amount of seven) to the disciples, resulting in the miraculous multiplication that fed five thousand. I have found that often in the times where everything stands against us in the natural— things have dried up— this is when we are on the verge of a supernatural intervention and breakthrough. The end is often the signal of a new beginning. A change is coming.

Change is coming! I see gold coins raining down from heaven, but as they come upon you, they become the change that you need!

It may be a change of circumstances or a change of location, assignments, jobs/positions, etc.—but change is coming! It may even be the provision that you need.

I see this happening not only for individuals and families but for cities, regions, and nations. There may be an offering that the Lord is asking his people for in all of these spheres, or even in your family, like he did when he asked me for my change. Whatever the offering he asks for will become the “trip wire” to release the supernatural change that needs to occur. The body of Christ is being invited to participate in an offering that will open up the winds of change.

This is the hour of transition, crossing thresholds and change for many of you. Do not hold back, but give your all. Give an offering of praise, an offering of thanksgiving, and of sacrifice that is pleasing to the Lord. Be the trip wire for your change! What is the Spirit of the Lord asking of you?

Today is the day— angels with bags of change are posted and waiting to see who to pour out the offering upon and the places where change is to break forth.

This is a heavenly currency that will manifest as a natural change upon those who enter in, as well as families and regions/nations that enter in.

Raise a HALLELUJAH! Change is about to come down!
