While You Wait

Get your empty vessels ready, and watch God pour out more than you could have ever imagined.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve had many messages from different people asking for prayer because they are in a waiting season. Some have said they are waiting on their breakthrough, while others have said they are waiting on a specific promise to come to pass. In prayer, I have also sensed that this is how many people in the body of Christ feel. You are standing on the promises and prophetic words God has given to you, you’ve positioned yourself for breakthrough and you’ve knocked and knocked, yet you still seem to still be just waiting for God to come through for you.

If that is you today, I want to encourage you, a suddenly is about to come to you and you will break through as long as you stay in there with the Lord in this season. While you wait, it is so important not to grow weary or waiver in doubt or unbelief just because you haven’t stepped into your promise or breakthrough yet. The keyword there, my friends, is yet!

I went through a season where I was waiting for over nine months for healing. I was in incredible pain and discomfort. What I was dealing with physically was affecting my ability to do what God called me to do. But you know what? I just kept believing and waiting on the Lord because I knew by faith that God would heal me. And one day, the Lord spoke to me after that season of waiting and I was healed.

In the waiting, we must stay strong. Waiting seasons are seasons of preparation. There have been several times when I have cried out to God and told Him that I was ready for my breakthrough. However, the loving Father spoke to me and let me know I actually wasn’t ready. The Lord will often place us in seasons of waiting so that He can develop us in the place of prayer, strengthen our patience and teach us what we need to know in order to properly steward whatever comes on the other side of our breakthrough.

Some of you may be waiting right now because God needs to bring the right people and mentors into your life before you advance or accelerate into your next season. Whatever the reason is that you are waiting, as long as you are seeking the Lord, then you will step into your promise after the waiting. Your moment of breakthrough, healing, and fulfillment is coming, so get ready for it. God is looking for those who will properly position and prepare themselves for what is coming so that when the time comes, they can run full throttle into all that He has for them.

Many prophetic voices that I trust have been prophesying that this is a year where the Lord is going to do above and beyond what we may be believing for. So let’s believe for the miraculous, the supernatural, and the impossible! I’m reminded of the story of the woman in 2 Kings 4 who had nothing but a little bit of olive oil left and she was in desperate need. Elisha told her to gather as many empty vessels as she could and the oil did not stop pouring until every single one of those empty vessels she had gathered were filled to the brim.

I believe this is going to happen for many people in this season. You are about to see God take the little that you have multiplied according to your faith. I believe that the oil would have kept pouring if this widow had gathered even more vessels. The same is true for us in this season! Get your empty vessels ready, and watch God pour out more than you could have ever imagined.

We need to believe bigger and get out of our limiting belief systems if we want to step into the true abundance God has for each of us on the other side of the waiting. What could happen if we believed that we are limitless because we serve the limitless God? I really believe that this year is a significant and powerful year for so many.

I also believe 2023 is going to be a year where many personal prophecies and prophetic words over individuals are going to come to pass. Things are about to start shifting and changing in your life as you surrender everything to the Lord. Stay strong in the waiting!
