Three Scriptural Prayers for Peace

I know I can trust Your will––Your way––and Your hand.

A Prayer for Peace in All Things

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”  2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV

Lord, when I look at what is going on in this world today, my heart bends to anxiety. Yet, I know You know me by name, and exactly what I am facing in my life. And You have designed my circumstances.

Help me trade my anxiousness for Your peace. Fill me with hope. Assure me You are with me, Jesus. May I hold tightly to Your promises and walk through this day with peace that is beyond understanding. My heart is Yours. In Jesus’ name Amen.

A Prayer for Peace of Mind

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 ESV

Lord, thank you for perfect and constant peace. When the cares of this life threaten to overtake me, remind me of Your Word. Keep my mind steadfast in Your promises.

May I meditate on Your glory, power, faithfulness, wisdom, patience, and grace. Help me remember You are in control of all things and working out Your good plan for my life. Bring glory unto Your name.

I know I can trust Your will––Your way––and Your hand. You are my hope. I will take refuge in Your presence because I know You will never leave me. My heart is fully Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer for Peaceful Sleep

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8 ESV

Dear Father, night has fallen and my mind is racing with thoughts of tasks left undone. The what-ifs of tomorrow and how-to’s of my circumstances plague me. I am concerned for myself and those I love. Though I am weary, I am struggling to release these concerns to You.

Please help me lay my cares at Your feet. Remind me You are my hiding place, my strong tower, and my safe refuge. As I remember You are in control of everything, I release my all to You.

I know You alone are my source of strength and peace is only found in You. I will trust that I am safe in Your care as I find rest in Your Presence. Give me sweet sleep. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
