This is Not the Time to Play it Safe

Rather than dreading the change, I choose to embrace the adventure.

The spiritual transformation we long for will not be found in familiar places. Even in the midst of enemy interference, the Spirit beckons us to step outside our comfort zones because the “greater works” will only be found in new territory. We are about to discover that home is not a place, routine, or system, but a Person.

I was once very frustrated when I couldn’t see what God was doing or where His Spirit was working and finally cried out, “God, where are you!?” His answer surprised me. “I’m in unfamiliar places. Come find me!”

The pioneer within me was excited, but the homebody was not. I wanted to see this “new thing” He had in store, but it would mean leaving the safe spaces I had created. This same invitation came in a dream where I was unable to tune in to heaven’s frequency until I stepped outside my familiar routines and ventured into unknown territory. Once I did, I had a powerful revelation of the Godhead and woke up shaking in the fear of the Lord. This fresh revelation of heaven’s activity could only be accessed by leaving the familiar and stepping into new places.

Many of us feel like we’re in some kind of twilight zone of uncertainty. Major things are shifting in the spirit. Nothing is “normal” anymore and the enemies of God are working hard at unsettling us. And yet, I believe it is the Lord who is inviting us into unfamiliar places for a much greater purpose. He wants us to see Him in ways we’ve never seen Him before. It’s in the unfamiliar places ahead that our purpose will be enlarged and our mission made clear.

Rather than dreading the change, I choose to embrace the adventure. I want to be where HE is, and right now, He’s inviting us to take His hand and journey into unfamiliar territory. This is not the time to play it safe. Stop looking back at what “once was” and consider what heaven is about to reveal. Let go of the familiar and dare to pursue the greater things ahead.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it SPRINGS UP; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Lord, deliver us from fools! We are living in a twilight zone of folly and insanity.

Let me give you some prophetic perspective and practical prayer strategies that will bring us into the new territories the Lord wants to give us!
