Recently, as I was sitting upon my back porch, the Holy Spirit whispered a scripture in my ear as I was asking Him about our current circumstances in North America and abroad.
“And I called for a DROUGHT upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the CORN, and upon the NEW WINE, and upon THE OIL, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labor of the hands.” Haggai 1:11
As the Words of this verse filled my ears, I immediately said, “Lord this doesn’t sound like a very good thing.” And He said to me, “This situation is a precursor to the Latter Glory being poured out (mentioned in Haggai 2). My House must be rebuilt, but not with the timbers of trees and rocks in the natural realm. My house will be made of Trees (People) from the Hill country, with Gold (That which is God), with Silver (that which is Redemption) and the Precious Living Stones (1 Peter 2:5, 1 Corinthians 3:12).”
The Drought has officially hit! The prices of commodities are skyrocketing right now, along with (as everyone knows) the PRICE OF OIL. While there really probably isn’t a shortage of most of these things, to me it is a sign that we need to begin to REBUILD THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.
To be clear, THE HOUSE OF THE LORD IS NOT a denominational structure controlled by men, it is not an institution or business adventure and it is not a form of Godliness devoid of Power. I believe it is as Jesus Christ said it was, A HOUSE OF PRAYER!
“All these I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; FOR MY HOUSE WILL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL PEOPLES.” Isaiah 56:7, Matthew 11:17)
This isn’t just a place where people will come to gather and Pray only, for Prayer is direct contact and connection with your Heavenly Father, IT IS RELATIONSHIP NOT RELIGION!
Many churches were ended (or torn down) by Covid, so the Rebuilding Process for those people (not the buildings) is going to look different than what we think! God is going to take many of those Prodigals who sat in those dead religious circles for years, draw them to Himself in His House of Prayer and make them come alive like never before!
The drought is not designed to destroy us, the drought is designed to Awaken Us!
“You have sown much, but you have reaped little; you eat, but you do not have enough; you drink, but you do not have your fill; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages has earned them to put them in a bag with holes in it.” Haggai 1:6
When your livelihood is directly threatened as a direct result of the circumstances around you, YOU CAN NO LONGER IGNORE IT. God is drawing our hearts back to Himself! As we pursue Him and Rebuild His House (not the ceiled houses of men), not only will Prosperity be restored, but the Glory of God will be released like we’ve never seen before:
“And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I WILL FILL THIS HOUSE WITH GLORY, saith the Lord of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. THE GLORY OF THIS LATTER HOUSE SHALL BE GREATER THAN OF THE FORMER, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:7-9
Lest the Lord builds the House, they Labor in vain Who build it! Come Holy Spirit and Rebuild Your House in Each of Us, WE NEED YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER!!!
