The Mother’s Heart Blessing

I remember and hold you close as a mother does her nursing child.

Posted on

Holidays can be wonderful—and holidays can be awful. What’s really tough is when a holiday (or time) that’s supposed to be wonderful is, in reality, awful.

That being said, here we are on Mother’s Day in the USA.

Many life situations make Mother’s Day challenging.

What Holy Spirit led me to share today is, “You have a Father who is both Father and Mother in his heart and care for you. He is kind, gentle, tender, and nurturing to you—in all the places where a dear mother would be.”

His Lovingkindness for You!

You are engraved on My palms.

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me,” (NIV, Isaiah 49:16).

I remember and hold you close as a mother does her nursing child.

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!” (KJV, Isaiah 49:15).

I AM faithful and true to you.

“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war,” (NIV, Revelation 19:11).

I AM concerned for your well-being and delight in your well-being.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant,” (KJV, Psalm 35:27).

I AM afflicted in your afflictions, distressed in your distresses, and I carry you.

“In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old,” (KJV, Isaiah 63:9).

My loving-kindness is with you.

Loving-kindness is chesed (Strong’s H2617), a word David used frequently describing the “goodness, kindness and faithfulness” of Father in covenant with him—and which he used for his enduring promise (covenant) to Jonathan.

“Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee,” (KJV, Psalm 63:3).

You are ever remembered before Me.

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me,” (NIV, Isaiah 49:16).

I comfort you.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,” (NIV, 2 Corinthians 1:3).

I AM committed to your success.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant,” (KJV, Psalm 35:27).

You are My treasure.

“The Lord their God will save his people on that day as a shepherd saves his flock. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown,” (NIV, Zechariah 9:16).

Prayer Response

Think about this, dear friend. Then receive by saying, “Yes, Father, thank You. I receive, amen.”

Prayer for You

Whatever the situation before you this Mother’s Day, I’m asking that Father’s grace, His presence, and His lovingkindness would minister to your heart as the best of mothers would in Ephesians 3:20 measures.
