It’s all about the heart! The heart is the center of our being. Jesus had told us, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5: 8)
- Whatever is in our heart, that’s the lens through which we see.
This is why Jesus constantly said, “Purify your hearts.” What’s in our heart, comes out. “Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.” Here’s the complete scripture:
“A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.” (Luke 6: 45)
We have a treasury inside of us! We can clearly identify what’s inside a person’s heart when they release it. If anger spews, or any emotion, it comes out of what’s stored up in the heart.
- Even a leader who is not exhibiting a good heart can be changed by the hand of God.
“The King’s heart is in the hand of the Lord. He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases.” (Proverbs 21: 1)
- God controls the lives and actions of even kings/leaders.
How does He do that? Well, first He’s God and second, His eyes are everywhere. “The lamp of the Lord searches the spirit of a man; it searches out his inmost being.” (Proverbs 20: 27)
- The lamplight of the Holy Spirit searches deep inside of us.
- The light of Jesus wants to expose any hidden darkness.
To accuse us? Nope, to set us free! Jesus was buried in our shame; yet arose in power.
Kingdom-minded folks know we are made secure by His searchlight of love and faithfulness.
“Love and faithfulness keep a king safe; through love, his throne is made secure.” (Proverbs 20: 28)
Everything is in full view of the Lord. Yes, His love and faithfulness keep men safe and secure.
As a Kingdom-minded follower understand that love and truth protect us.
Covenant benefits are released when we continually walk in His truth. Stay consistent in your walk. May His, “Love be ever before me, as I walk continually in your truth.” (Psalm 26: 3)
Yes, walking in truth keeps our hearts steadfast. “Teach me your ways, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart that I may fear your name.” (Psalm 86: 11)
As Kingdom-minded followers our dependence is on God, who makes us complete.
An undivided heart makes us secure. “God does not say this to restrict us, but that we may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.” (1 Corinthian 7: 35)
KINGDOM PRINCIPLE: An undivided heart and devotion to the Lord is wrapped in love and faithfulness.
