For the past several weeks, I keep seeing in the Spirit the game of chess and the particular pieces to play the game. I keep hearing these words, “The King has the final move. He is the one who establishes checkmate!”
All the pieces on the board are arranged in a certain way, taking their position on the board. I see the row of pawns are positioned, noticing they are the smallest in size, value, and position. I see rooks, knights, and bishops are positioned as well. The Queen and King are in a different class of their own.
Since it’s been a while since I’ve played chess, I went to Google to recall how the pieces move. Below is what I gathered about their positions and how the pieces are arranged and in place. Each piece has been strategically “set up” and positioned very carefully. Each piece has a part to play, exhibiting a strong desire to win!
Lord, God, you have walked between the peoples, between the pieces, declaring your covenant. We remember that covenant was established when two parties walked between. Your fire blazed and burnt up the sacrifice of the false gods, and showed your covenant cannot be broken.
The people who have been placed in their false positions shall see that they have no positions, only those who have been given unto men by our God! Thank you, Lord.
One commentary about the game of chess said this, “When closely examined, the chessboard actually resembles a battlefield. Two warring parties fight until one is crowned victorious or no more legal moves can be made and the game ends in a draw. This is why so much strategy and planning involved in the game of chess because in a sense, a war is unfolding.”
Lord God, any illegal moves that have been made, you tear down and destroy, in Jesus’ name.
The Rooks are powerful pieces when they are protecting each other. They appear to be working together, but seek the power of their own.
The Bishop gets to move as far as he wants, but he must stay within the same color. Bishops work together and cover up each other’s weaknesses. They can move as far as they want, for more authority has been given to them.
The Knights are moving in different directions going two squares in one direction then move at a 90-degree angle, forming an “L” shape. Knights move other pieces around.
The Pawns move and capture, desiring to be promoted. They move forward, but capture diagonally, being sneakier. They have an agenda to be promoted by moving forward, never backward. If the pawn reaches the other side, they are promoted to a different class, usually a queen.
The Queen comes alongside the King to protect.
The King is the object of authority to conquer.
The purpose of the game is to “checkmate” the opponent’s King. This happens when the King is put into check (threatened with capture) and cannot get out of check. If a King cannot escape checkmate, then the game is over.
Then I heard this: Whatever has been established behind the scenes; whatever pieces have been in place, strategically, for evil purposes, they are coming down. The Rooks, are rookies, the Bishops shall be uncovered, the Knights shall be put in their place, the Pawns are being demoted to another class, the Queen is being dethroned and the King, is being removed and replaced by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The pieces and people of positions have no position. People of God, “Be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position.” (2 Peter 3: 17) Position and prepare yourself for my return!
Our God sees the injustice, the planning, the manipulation, the deceit, and He has the final Word and the Final Move. “His Kingdom shall rule and reign. His Kingdom shall have no end. “The Kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever.” (Revelation 11: 15)
The strategy and plans of man shall never overrule the strategy of our God. He is working behind the scenes to bring forth His rule and reign upon the earth. He shall establish what He began from the beginning of time. His people shall be put in place to reveal the deception and justice shall begin. Things are aligning for the plans and purposes of God, not for the strategies of deceitful, vindictive men who are getting their way. “For the plans of God cannot be thwarted.” (Job 42: 2) “The Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men…” (Daniel 4: 17)
For God has declared that “Evil-minded men will be infuriated when they see all this; they will gnash their teeth in anger and slink away, their hopes thwarted.” (Psalm 112: 10)
Our God sees the positions on the board and knows what moves will be next; but the next move of Almighty God upon the earth, shall not only move but prove His way and establish His Kingdom. Build My Kingdom. I have the strategy and the blueprints already decreed and settled. “Stand firm! Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15: 58) Then He took me to these passages:
“The Lord will mediate between nations
and will settle international disputes.
They will hammer their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will no longer fight against nation,
nor train for war anymore.” (Isaiah 2: 4)
“For the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has a day of reckoning.
He will punish the proud and mighty
and bring down everything that is exalted.
He will cut down the tall cedars of Lebanon
and all the mighty oaks of Bashan.
He will level all the high mountains
and all the lofty hills.
He will break down every high tower
and every fortified wall.
Human pride will be humbled,
and human arrogance will be brought down.
Only the Lord will be exalted
on that day of judgment.
Idols will completely disappear.
When the Lord rises to shake the earth,
his enemies will crawl into holes in the ground.
They will hide in caves in the rocks
from the terror of the Lord
and the glory of his majesty.
On that day of judgment, they will abandon the gold and silver idols
they made for themselves to worship.
They will leave their gods to the rodents and bats,
while they crawl away into caverns
and hide among the jagged rocks in the cliffs.
They will try to escape the terror of the Lord
and the glory of his majesty
as he rises to shake the earth.
Don’t put your trust in mere humans.
They are as frail as breath.
What good are they?” (Isaiah 2: 12-22)
Yes, my friends, the King has the final move and will declare OVER! He shall destroy the Kingdoms of this world, and their game is over. “It is finished,” has been declared long ago, and his bride shall be made ready, ready to meet her Beloved, her King of Majesty, her Bridegroom King.
“The Spirit and the bride say come! And let him who hears say, come! Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life.” (Revelation 22: 17)
“The Lord reigns, He is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and is armed with strength. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.” (Psalm 93: 1)
