Years ago I used to teach a Bible Study group in the foothills of my hometown. At one of those meetings, the group asked if they could pray for me. Since this was such a rare thing I heartily accepted it.
As they all gathered around me, suddenly I found myself standing before the throne of God as everything else seemed to fall from my view. While I could not behold His face, I distinctly saw His feet and legs, but more pronounced than anything else was the LOVE RADIATING FROM HIS PERSON!
As I stood there in the Presence of God, He put forth His Hand to me and said these words, “Give Me Your Heart!” Not only was I surprised by this request, (because I thought I had already done that), but I was completely surprised by what I felt.
I realized at that moment, by the Love radiating from Him, that all of the things I had been told about the judgment and fear regarding Him was misrepresented. I sensed such an overpowering feeling of PURE PASSIONATE LOVE from Him! I knew He completely LOVED ME, not just a part of me, but every fiber of my being!
As I reached into my chest and I pulled out the heart which was in my chest, I remember that what I pulled out looked like a shriveled-up walnut, and I thought to myself, “That’s My Heart???!!!” As I handed it to Him and placed it into His very large Hand, He took it away and seconds later reached around as if behind Him and whipped out this thing which filled both of HIS HANDS! He then said to me, “TAKE MINE TO THOSE WHO ARE MINE!”
As I placed His Heart within me, my whole being began to burn as if my body was on Fire! Not a painful fire but like a Passionate Flame for those who are His! I still feel it burning today!
Describing His Love for us really doesn’t do it justice! Describing His Passion for you, and the description of it, can not really express it properly either, but I will tell you this, HIS HEART YEARNS FOR YOU LIKE YOU’VE NEVER IMAGINED! For Jesus to endure the torture He did, should give us a clue of God’s Heart for the world, but as I said, words alone don’t do it justice.
I came back from that Encounter a changed man, with a different Heart, that has set me on a different path. While this post is a testimonial about something that happened to me, it is more a Testament of God’s HEART AND PASSION FOR YOU!
“The Lord appeared from of old to me, saying, YES, I HAVE LOVED YOU WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.” Jeremiah 31:3
Never underestimate God’s Love or His Heart For your Life, for it’s more intense and greater than you could ever imagine!
