The Currency of the Goodness of God

I began to realize that the fear of the Lord and His goodness are joined together in the scriptures.

A couple of years ago I had an experience with the Lord where I saw needs, lack, circumstances, and warfare brought to a Heavenly place where these things were exchanged for the “Goodness of God”.

In this experience, I saw Jesus extending His hand and it was filled with His goodness. He was offering it as a type of Heavenly currency. I was led to bring all of my needs and exchange them for the “currency of His goodness”. It reminded me of when I travel internationally and have to go and exchange my currency for the currency of the nation that I am traveling to.

The moment I placed my needs into His goodness I felt the exchange take place. His goodness washed over me and my faith soared. I was immediately lifted above the storm and winds of adverse circumstances.

“Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!” Psalms‬ ‭31:19‬ ‭

At the time of this experience, my husband and I had just been praying for God’s people— that the fear of the Lord would be exchanged for the spirit of fear that has been plaguing so many. Psalm 31:19 says that His goodness is laid up for those who fear the Lord.

The “Fear of the Lord” means to have reverence, respect, awe, and to submit to a deity. This fear speaks of God’s good intentions toward us. I was surprised that this experience regarding the “currency of His goodness” happened as we prayed for the fear of the Lord. Then I began to realize that the fear of the Lord and His goodness are joined together in the scriptures.

“Establish Your word to Your servant, Who is devoted to fearing You. Turn away my reproach which I dread, For Your judgments are good.” Psalms‬ ‭119:38-39‬ ‭

“Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.” Psalms‬ ‭34:8-9‬ ‭

Isn’t it amazing how God confirms these experiences through the truth of His Word!

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. As we prayed for the fear of the Lord, wisdom came through a revelation of how we can exchange our needs and lack for the currency of His goodness.

This was not merely an experience for me but for you too. The Lord’s hand is filled with His goodness. He is offering a divine exchange; this will provide you with a Heavenly currency that will supply His goodness in exchange for your needs. It will exchange peace for fear and wisdom for the questions that need answers. Today, taste and see that the Lord is good for those who fear Him will lack no good thing.
