Taking Possession of the Land

The Kingdom that’s in you comes out of you and begins to exert its authority on the earth around you.

We always hear a lot of talk about going in and taking the land (the things that the enemy has taken from us), and often while we usually accomplish that with much success (because Jesus has made us overcomers), retaining that victory is often another matter.

There are so many victories to be had and so many things that we can obtain victory, in and from, but when I’m referring to “TAKING THE LAND” here, it starts with learning to possess our own earth that we live in first.

The temple that is this earthly tent that we dwell in is made of earth, as well as the land underneath our feet. The Lord wants us to take dominion not just over every thought but also over every desire and every issue that we face with it. For some, the greatest victories that they will have in this life will be subduing their own bodies.

Paul said that every athlete that goes into training and competes in the games is disciplined and exercises self control in all things and that he strictly disciplines his body and makes it His Slave (1 Corinthians 9:25-27).

It isn’t just enough to renew the mind (although that’s huge as well) but to subdue the earthly tent you live in as well. When you gain victory on the earth you dwell in, and Christ becomes the Lord and master of it, then the earth under your feet and around you becomes your new sphere of influence.

The Kingdom that’s in you comes out of you and begins to exert its authority on the earth around you. But in order for us to get to that place where that dynamic becomes a reality, we have to learn to subdue our personal earth first.

Sickness, disease, infirmity, demonic influences, and the like are all trespassers upon the ground that you possess, and every one of those must bow the knee to Jesus Christ in our lives. Not to say that there’s not going to be warfare or a massive fight in the process, for even Paul battled many issues in his physical body. But ultimately, he retained the victory over them all, as will you!

Hold fast, your course, don’t get discouraged, and don’t give up hope. For the God of all Peace is going to come into your life and CRUSH Satan under His feet! The victory in your body belongs to you! Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world! You are more than a conqueror through Christ Who Lives in You! Jesus’ victories are yours as well!
