Validation can be so crucial and extremely clarifying. Sometimes a conflict
can be avoided by simply validating what your spouse has said.
Every pain we face, every doubt we overcome, every battle we wage is worth
patiently enduring the journey to get to the finish line and see our Savior at last!
Here it is in all its God-be-praised certainty: God wants to partner with you.
Sometimes even believers are perplexed with some Scripture.
But God’s Word is a lamp for immediate illumination and a light for ongoing discernment.
Our primary focus should be on living the call that Christ put on our life and be salt and light to those around us.
When we can’t or are unable to ask new questions or consider new answers, we limit our field of vision.
In doing so, we run the risk of missing the possibilities God provides…of confusing our partial story of God with one that is complete.
As we learn what a great leader looks like biblically, it will act as a grid by which we will examine the leaders to whom we will submit ourselves.
As we become adults, the wrongs levied against us become more severe,
we build up walls over time, and we can analyze a scenario to judge if someone is deserving of our forgiveness.
As strange as what Haim Eshed may be alleging here, I do believe there’s a deeper truth we should be paying attention to here.
Though created as eternal beings, we often forget the inevitability and infinity of eternity
while prioritizing all we do around this fleeting, finite thing called time.
Each one of us has personal convictions and opinions, but they must be brought to the feet of Jesus where we ask Him to extract the precious from the worthless.
When we don’t have a clear and correct view of God, we cannot live the way God designed us to live.
It may sound so right to try hard, be perfect, or get it right. But where is God in that picture?
“Remember that not only is God’s Word the tool of His judgment, but it was also the tool of creation.”
Even when you’ve had experience after experience with God, when Jesus Christ
is the most real person in the world to you, you will always have to live by faith.
Stepping out on nothing and trusting something to be there feels foreign.
God wants us to walk in high integrity, for He knows it makes us whole and undivided.
When we validate our mate’s feelings, it often averts a conflict or, at the very least, deescalates it.
