Who’s Got Your Back?
Each day as you dress in your Armor, picture the hand of God squarely on your back.
Each day as you dress in your Armor, picture the hand of God squarely on your back.
God is our strength, our place of safety, our light, and our help!
The enemy will try everything possible to throw roadblocks in our path and to stop us from being fruitful.
You can’t be successful in what God has called you to if you doubt, and you can’t doubt if you have faith.
If we have God’s righteousness as our breastplate, temptation might ding our armor, but it won’t strike us down.
The moment that we become complacent or let our guard down or put away our weapons, we are sunk.
“Remember that not only is God’s Word the tool of His judgment, but it was also the tool of creation.”
What we see, then, is that the helmet of salvation cannot be intended to imply simply being born-again.
Faith is a gift from God. It is not something we create within ourselves,
As believers, we should be living in this peace of God (shalom/eirēnē), right now, even though the war over the rest of creation is still raging!
While our own righteousness is fully dependent on Jesus Christ and His forgiveness, it must become our own identity in this world.
We need help. We rely on belts, daily, to keep our pants from slipping down and our shirts from bunching up or coming untucked.
The battle with the enemy begins in the mind.
I do see, however, a lack of understanding among many, that we are in a season of mass spiritual warfare!
Since we are in a battle, what lessons of war can we learn and apply to our spiritual fight?
Taking every thought captive is definitely not something I have mastered. I still have times where I question my thoughts. I wonder: how did I allow this to happen again?
We need to put on the Armor of God and leave it on. We should be sleeping in it. This should be our norm. We are here to be spiritual warriors.
