I imagine I will wrestle with some fears for the rest of my life, but I cannot afford to let them control me or my destiny in Christ.
Listen to or Read Episode 122 – There will be a new normal as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Whether that’s good or bad will depend on us. We can long for things to go back to the way they were or we can look for ways that God can work in the new normal.
I knew too well the effects of having mentally ill family members and I did not want my kids to suffer the same pain that I did growing up.
I wanted to join them; but again, something within me had shifted. The “me” I knew was gone and this other person who felt depressed had emerged.
To walk in freedom, to bear the fruits of the spirit, and to lead a joyful, hopeful, wonderful life that is lacking nothing, we must read the Bible!
Fretting isn’t from a friend, and panic isn’t for our pleasure. One thing I knew; God did not want me feeling this way, making mountains out of molehills.
The truth is, whether we like it or not, depression is a weapon from the enemy, and it’s more common than we think. We are not alone.
I felt a knot in my stomach causing tears to well up from inside the deepest pits of my spirit. What was wrong with me? There had to be a problem.
There was no more hiding or retreating. It was on, and I was finally ready to kill the thing that almost killed me. It was time to die to myself.
