I believe that right now we are sitting under an open heaven for God to “reveal and restore for the next generation.” Let me explain.
For years, every night, my husband and I pray for God to open our eyes and to reveal to us our giftings, callings, and anointings so that we could further the kingdom of God on the earth.
This past weekend, when I was writing, I deeply felt the heart of God longing to give these hidden treasures out to His people. These are not only the known things for which you are believing but also the unknown blessings that have always been meant for you. These treasures are not only for you but for the next generation, too. I saw it as being a time of Deuteronomy 29:29 coming to life:
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law” (NKJV).
God is always speaking and revealing. When God thinks of you, He sees you in the context of your family line. Take a look at Abraham as an example. The blessings that He walked in were based upon covenant with God and they were connected to His family and an entire generation of people. What God has for you is for the next of kin, too, because every blessing is meant to move through the generations.
What God was specifically revealing to me was His desire to give you the dreams, healings, gifts, anointings, and callings to you WITHIN the context of your family line, because although you are a beautiful original, He sees you in the midst of your lineage. He sees your whole family line from beginning to end.
It seemed God was saying there were INHERITANCES that were forfeited through lack of knowledge, sin, being ripped off by the enemy, forsaken or just never taken, but God is CALLING them back (and you can partner with Him to decree them) in this new era and He will open your eyes to SEE them. Once you see them (that’s the revelation part) next lay hold of them. Do not strive for anything, but posture your heart to look and ask for impartation, trusting He will reveal.
I saw these inheritances as gifts along a DNA strand. Along the DNA I saw images within the bloodline of your family. They were like “markers” that went all up and down the strand, from the beginning to the end. I saw these markers on the DNA and I saw them being picked up by you (lost inheritances). It was as if God was redeeming the time each time that you picked up your “marked out” inheritance. In essence, He was breathing upon these things and calling them to life again.
Just like you, as a new creation in Christ, these hidden inheritances can only be recovered and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. He died to make these things come to life through you—so you could pass the baton on of these inherited blessings. The next generation will run the race with even greater grace than you could ever dream of because we are designed to go from glory to glory (2 Co 3:18).
There are such a rich history and a wealth of hidden inheritances that God will be revealing and ways He will reveal Himself in the earth through each family unit. “Our spiritual wealth is in Him, like hidden treasure waiting to be discovered- heaven’s wisdom and endless riches of revelation knowledge” (Colossians 2:3 TPT). But remember, it’s God’s pleasure to give you the Kingdom (Luke 12:32) so keep your spiritual eyes open and alert.
As I was writing all this down last weekend, I began to tremble and I felt such a JOY in the heart of God wanting to release His treasures at this time. It’s all in His perfect timing, but we can trust God that He will release it in GREATER measure because we have renounced the hidden things of shame (2 Co 4:2) and through the New Covenant of Jesus, we have an earthen vessel (you and me) that holds the treasure of Jesus.
What aspect of Him will He be highlighting to you this new era? Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He is longing to do so! I am doing the same.
