Resurrection Day

The devil can’t change the Master’s plan.

As hearts were filled

With heavy gloom

And HE lay inside

The dust-filled tomb.

The Father said

For all of heaven to hear:

“Watch and behold,

My Son’s soon here.”

With a thunderous quake

That shook the earth

His death would now

Bring forth new birth.

For HE alone

Holds the key

That unlocks the door

To set us free.

With mighty force

HE snatched death away

And won the battle

On Resurrection Day.

The devil thought

He had won

But Jesus fought

And made him run.

The devil can’t

Defeat man

He can’t change

The Master’s plan.

Jesus is our victory

And our prize

In Him all

Our treasure lies.

HE’S Redemption’s Grace

From the Throne

Wooing and beckoning

Us to come home.

So on this

Resurrection Day

Give Him your heart

Let Him have His way.
