Restoring Truth to the Streets

Without the authority of the Scriptures, there is no truth. It’s up for grabs to whoever has the strongest voice.

Justice is turned back and righteousness stands afar off; for truth has stumbled in the streets, and equity cannot enter.Isaiah 59:14

Without the acknowledgment of God who is the source of all truth, there is no such thing as truth. There are no absolutes. Truth becomes whatever is right for the individual, which is nothing more than a mixture of lies and half-truths weaved into the fabric of our societies and culture to create confusion from the father of lies. When Jesus was addressing the religious leaders and Pharisees, this is what He was referring to because their teachings had become such a mixture of their own ideas mixed in with what Moses had taught them.

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in Him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44

The truth of the matter is, the reason absolute truth is ignored is that people would rather feed their carnal desires than walk in truth. If we want to avoid the father of lies, we must embrace wholeheartedly the uncompromising truth that comes from all Scripture given by the inspiration of God through holy men of God who were moved by the Holy Spirit — 2 Peter 1:21.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16

When Jesus was brought before Pilate, He had a very interesting conversation with him concerning what is truth. Some might think that Pilate was being facetious, but I think he was serious. Without being connected to the source of truth and the absolutes that come from it, truth is a very nebulous thing. What constitutes truth? Is it Power? Rome was the nation of power during this time of history and therefore dictated what truth was.

Without the authority of the Scriptures, there is no truth. It’s up for grabs to whoever has the strongest voice. Everyone becomes right in their own eyes believing the lies that spill forth out of the pits of hell from the father of lies, Satan. These are the lies that have spilled out into the streets of our world today that have caused the truth of God’s word to have fallen in the streets.

The voices of the antichrist spirit are alive and well, screaming blatantly with force in today’s world. Christians are being bullied by the enemies of our faith to believe the lies that are spilling out into the streets of the world. It’s time for Christians everywhere to take a stand for the truth of God’s word. We must quit compromising the truths we know for the sake of being accepted in the world’s eyes. Even though we may become prey to those who speak forth the lies of their father, the devil, we must restore the pillars of truth so that truth will spill out into the streets rather than the lies of the antichrist spirit.

I write to you so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the House of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 1 Timothy 3:15

As seen from the above Scripture, the Church is the answer the world is looking for. The world doesn’t know it because the Church is so compromised with the mixture of the world. Those who are caught up in the lies of Satan don’t know what truth is because they haven’t been exposed to the purity of truth that is to flow from the Church of the living God, the pillar and ground of all truth. It’s time for the Church of the living God to wake up to the uncompromising truth of His word and walk in it as He has commanded us to do. This is why the apostle John writes, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth — 3 John 1:4”

What kind of a mixture are you walking in today? Are you ready to take a stand for truth? You must decide for yourself if you’re going to embrace the entirety of God’s word without compromise or walk in the half-truths that Satan mixes with lies. It is only the truth of God’s word that will set you free.
