Restored To Grace, Peace And Truth

Do we remain faithful when all around us is crumbling? In suffering, our faith is proven genuine.

How can we be restored in these three areas?  Here’s the key scripture:

“Peter an apostle of Jesus Christ, to God’s electstrangers in the world.  Scattered throughout…who have been chosen…”  1 Peter 1: 1-2

I greet you as Peter greeted the believers.  He began by saying,

“To God’s Elect…”  1 Peter: 1: 1  Who is God’s elect?  Those who have been chosen, who are God’s adopted sons and daughters who are called for His purposes.  The verse goes on to say:

“Strangers in the world…”  I guess I have been called worse.  Strangers are people residing on earth by whose home is in heaven.   Let’s read further:

Who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by His blood:  Grace and peace be yours in abundance.”  1 Peter 1: 2

All three persons of the Trinity are involved in the redemption of the elect.  The fullness of the Godhead is in YOU!  You are chosen for Him and by Him.  If you struggle with your identity, let this saturate you!

A Living Hope

Not only are we chosen and elected we are called.  We are given new birth into a living hope.  How?  Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ!  No other way!

Isn’t that enough?  Yes, yet there is still more!   That living hope is eternal, is “An inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade–kept in heaven for you.”  1 Peter 1: 4

Do we remain faithful when all around us is crumbling?  In suffering, our faith is proven genuine.  It also takes us to the place of realizing that the abundance we have been given is not just in any dollar amount.
When grace and peace are given in abundance, WITH TRUTH, it enables us to endure all the trials.  Let me show you how it helps to sustain us:

Walking in Truth is walking in wisdom, (God’s wisdom), which produces:  “A garland of grace on our head…Proverbs 4: 9   When we have a grace garland around our head, our mind is at peace.  When our mind is at peace, we use wisdom and truth.  Why?  God’s truth is intertwined between grace and peace.  I see it as a three-corded strand, braided.  Women in Biblical days wore these crown-like wreaths when they were married.

Interestingly, when I got married, I chose to wear a crown of flowers instead of the traditional veil. I didn’t understand why, then, I chose that, but now I do!

Here’s another thing grace, peace, and truth does:  A heart at peace gives life to the body.”  Proverbs 14: 30  With a mind, full of Truth and wisdom, wrapped in a heart of peace; it affects us physically.

Healthy Effects

When following the Lord, there are healthy effects that occur.  Should I expound further? Here’s an example of being affected physically:

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.  This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.”  Proverbs 3: 7-8

These are the benefits of grace, peace, and Truth.  Lord, Jesus, bring revelation and release to your people.  Free us and give us the understanding of grace, and peace in abundance.  This is richer than any amount of money could ever produce for us.

When John was given the revelation of Jesus and was instructed the seven churches, he said, Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come.”  Revelation 1: 4

We know that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  This greeting, declaration, and promise, is still being released to His people, His saints today.   It is coming straight from the throne room of God.  It’s a crown of splendor and of glory, which will be placed upon your head, as His bride.

Grace and peace wrapped in Truth is the very character of Jesus Christ.  He is Grace!  He is Peace!  He is Truth!  Let His Grace, Peace, and Truth make a way, for He is The Way.

This is the abundant life. We are crowned with His glory.  Let this Truth restore and renew you.
