During my morning meditations with Jesus, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “TELL MY PEOPLE THAT IT’S TIME FOR THEM TO REMOVE THE LIMITS WITH WHICH THEY HAVE RESTRICTED ME SO THAT I CAN MOVE WITH MY POWER UPON AND THROUGH THEIR LIVES!”
While many of us would never consciously put restrictions upon the moving of the Holy Spirit, many of us do place Limits upon His abilities because we are so focused upon what we can or cannot accomplish ourselves.
One of the flaws that I have had in my past is not believing that when God told me to move in Obedience to His Voice that He was going to send His Power upon my behalf to accomplish it.
Any time that I would hear His Voice, and even see in my Spirit what He wanted to do, fear of failure (or making a fool out of myself) would creep in and cause me to Limit God’s Power to my own. My views of my own abilities (or lack of them) would cloud my mind and cause me to shrink back from that place of Obedience and while my intention wasn’t to Limit God, that’s exactly what I was effectively doing.
Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and LIMITED THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL.” Psalms 78:41
That Word “Limited” means to “Restrict” or to “Stop”. So putting limits upon God also has another word for it, and it’s called “UNBELIEF”!
Once I realized in my mind and heart that God wasn’t expecting me to use my abilities to do what He was telling me by the Holy Spirit to do, I began to step out and watch the Faithfulness of God manifest as His Power stepped in in the place of my lack and He accomplished through me what I couldn’t do myself.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: FOR MY STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
While weakness isn’t just sickness or infirmities, it is the place where we lack the strength or ability to do whatever is being asked of us, but those places become catalysts for God’s Power!
It’s time to Pull Out All of The Stops Family!!! Stop looking at your inabilities when God Tells you to Obey and anticipate His Power to come and take their Place!!!
GOD WANTS TO USE YOUR LIFE AS A LAUNCHING PAD FOR HIS POWER, but only you can make the decision to step out when He Prompts you. Stop limiting your obedience to your abilities and Ask God to Step in With His!
