A while ago, I was at a small conference on healing.
A young lady speaker stole the show with her testimony, not about a healing but about her prayer life. Not to put too fine a point on it, she related how much of her prayer life she spent in the Glory Cloud of Gods presence!
That raised a few “oohs” and “ahs” as well as more than a few “hallelujahs.” It is a ‘normal’ thing to her not only to witness the Glory but to ‘dwell’ in it for a while.
Like most people, even charismatics and Pentecostals like me, I have only seen the Shekinah Glory of God’s Presence once, twice, at most a very few times.
Yet here’s this young slip of a lass talking about being IN it nearly every day whilst praying. Am I the only one missing something here, or are most of you, like me, agog at the idea of spending regular even daily times so deep into God’s presence that His Glory manifests?
Yep – I thought so……
As I pondered this, in the middle of our morning service, The LORD said, “And why ever not. I have never hidden away from you, but you always seem to have too small an expectation of your prayer life and certainly, too small an expectation of Me.
Do you really have so low an expectation of My willingness to meet with you?”
Then He added something that shook me a little bit.
He said,“The Cloud of My Presence is always with you. All you need to do is pull it down!”
Let me repeat that in case it slipped past your radar. “All you need to do is pull it down!”
My mind goes back to some meetings a few years back when, in an act of prophetic activation, we all stretched our hands towards heaven, grasped whatever we found, and yanked it, tore it, or otherwise moved it downwards.
It worked then, and apparently it will work again now.
Try it. Stretch your hands towards heaven. Lay hold of the Cloud of His Presence, and pull it down into your meeting, your room, your prayer closet — wherever.
Just lay hold of God’s Presence and claim it for yourself.
Then watch what God will do among you.
