Description

It is our desire to hold ourselves not higher, but rather lower. We have received and experienced many blessings —as you may also find as you reflect on your own life. By humbling ourselves to acknowledge the blessings, we are able to see the true source of joy.
Although often seeming elusive or fleeting, this book reveals that a joy-filled life is within reach through recognizing its sources, the choices we make, and the mind-set we adopt.

Collaboratively written by Kingdom Winds founders, Gary and Beth Suess, and their daughter Tara, the authors draw from their own respective life journeys to map out the pathway to joy. Each authors’ infectiously joyful point-of-view shines bright with a uniquely different voice, colored and shaped with varying experiences, interests and perspectives. The relatable anecdotes and musings both inspire and entertain, while evoking readers own fond memories and appreciation of personal blessings.

Joy All Around Us

A collaborative effort between a husband, wife, and daughter, this book is based on their real-life journeys. Gary spent most of his career as an executive in the financial services industry. He’s also written for a national sports website as a featured columnist. His career, family and friends, varied passions, and personal faith journey have all influenced his perspective on a joyful life. After a banking career, Elizabeth transitioned her focus to raising their daughter, managing the household, engaging in women’s ministry and caring for their beloved cats. She has nurtured her passion for writing through blogging, centering on helping others navigate unpredictable life journeys. After graduating from the University of South Carolina, studying advertising and journalism, Tara currently works for a large advertising agency in New York City. In addition to the book, her passions for the arts are currently fulfilled through free lance writing, sketching and painting.
