Internet Porn is creating sex addicts and deviants in numbers never seen before. The way porn addiction works is similar to drugs. You start with less potent/soft stuff and before long that isn’t working to get the high anymore, so you have to continue to look for darker and more hard-core stuff to get the same high you got before. Soon the addict is looking at “barely legal” aged women in porn, and from there they must search out younger aged individuals to which there is a supply for this dark demand.
In modern culture, individuals are exposed to pornography at younger and younger ages because of all the devices in a modern family’s household. With smartphones, pornography is at a consumer’s fingertips 24 hours a day. Porn addicts are getting younger and younger, therefore the sexual predators are as well.
Do all porn addicts become sexual predators? No, I wouldn’t purport to assume that. In fact, I have known many men who have fought and are fighting porn and sexual addiction and they fight it every day. Almost all of the former porn addicts and struggling addicts that I know are not into and do not seek child pornography. With help, counseling, and spiritual guidance there is hope. I encourage anyone who is struggling with this devastating addiction to seek help. You can be free!
The testimony of police officers and other agents who have arrested men who purchase children for sex claim that, when interviewed, the pedophiles have stated that their desire for children started after years of consuming pornography and which had gotten to such a heightened state that viewing it no longer satisfied them and they then felt compelled to go out and seek a child.
It seems in today’s society, that child exploitation, trafficking, and pedophilia are at pandemic proportions. When are we going to look at this sickness and say something needs to be done? We’ve been taking the precautions to slow down a physical virus for the last few months to the point where economies and life stopped for a while. This sickness of the mind and soul is affecting millions of adults and hurting, killing, and destroying the lives of MILLIONS of children and nothing stops.
The children who survive this will either be broken or become monsters themselves as adults. Is this the future that we want for our kids or anyone’s children? There are a few who are doing something. They are making some impact. They are saving kids and arresting traffickers and child pornography producers. There are also organizations that are educating people on the dangers of porn consumption.
So, what is the answer? We know the true answer for sin and sickness of the soul is only Jesus/Yeshua Messiah. He came to set captives free and to heal every sickness and disease. So first and foremost, people need to know the truth of becoming a new creature by becoming a believer in Yeshua and a follower of the Way.
Secondly, we need to expose the darkness. Show and tell what is happening firstly in homes across the world on cell phones and computers. The transition of a viewer to an addict, to a full consumer/purchaser of humans for sex.
Move on to expose the crimes of traffickers, producers, and purchasers of child pornography and people/children for sex. Also understand that this is a billion-dollar industry with many players and our law enforcement, and abolitionist movements are barely scratching the surface of what’s going on. This sickness pervades every sector of society from teachers, to law enforcement, lawyers, judges, politicians, CEOs, actors, singers, world leaders, and more. The reach of the tentacles of this sin is frightening and because the victims have no voice, there are not enough people who see and know.
The good news is, that in the last couple of years it has become more and more exposed, and for the people who don’t want to hide from the truth of the horror of child rape, torture, and exploitation, we can do something. We can be their voice.
Moms and dads, I’m talking to you. If it were your child being sold over and over again in a dirty brothel, what wouldn’t you do to save them? Writers, people of faith I’m talking to you. You have words and platforms that you can use to bring awareness and action to this! Slavery still exists! And children are being sold like commodities across the world.
America is driving the demand! America is the biggest producer and consumer of pornography/child pornography in the world! We need to stop the poison! Talk to your kids and your kids’ friends about it. Do something today! Let’s get the truth out about the pornography industry and help people to disconnect from using porn. It must start with educating people and kids.
Of course, our most important action that all can do is to pray. Pray for the children and people who are currently trapped in slavery. Pray for the continued exposure of what’s going on across the world in homes, governments, warehouses, businesses, and studios. Pray that more agencies will get involved in arresting criminals, freeing victims, and prosecuting all involved. Pray for how you can make a difference.
