Episode 27

On today’s podcast, I chat with my friend, Eric Welch, director of the new movie, Beautifully Broken. Eric has directed over 200 music videos and live concert music films for multiple genre artists such as Carrie Underwood, Kid Rock, Jimmy Buffet, TobyMac, Mandisa, Kenny Chesney, Steve Miller Band, Hank Williams Jr., Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, and MercyMe. Eric’s commitment to creative excellence has garnered acclaim through multiple nominations for both the ACM and CMA awards, as well as, Addy, Telly, Billboard, and Dove Award wins.

Now, he’s added the title of director. His film, BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN will be released on August 24th in over 600 theaters in the US. A refugee’s escape, a prisoner’s promise, and a daughter’s painful secret converge in this inspiring true story of hope. It is based on a true story of three families whose lives are forever changed and healed by the power of child sponsorship through Compassion International. As three fathers fight to save their families, their lives become intertwined in an unlikely journey across the globe, where they learn the healing power of forgiveness and reconciliation.
