Do you know someone who always has to have their ducks in a row? Maybe that’s you. It’s like everything always has to be in perfect order, alignment, and nothing can be out of place. We are faithful to keep it that way too. If something is not aligned, it upsets our whole world and then we lash out at those who live with us.
Can I say that there is only one who is perfect. His name is Jesus! No matter how perfect and faithful we think we are, there is one who is completely perfect in all things. He is ultimate perfection and is perfectly faithful and perfect in love. Anything released by Him is with excellence and perfection.
So why do we get disappointed when something is not working the way we wanted it to? Or why do we doubt His faithfulness?
Focus on this, “In perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.” (Isaiah 25: 1) You see, there are things that were planned long ago, and we weren’t even part of the planning committee!
Let’s look at how God has been perfectly faithful. There are ways that are too numerous to count. “You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm, and a shade from the heat.” (Isaiah 25: 1, 4)
Did we ever consider that God’s faithfulness is so great that, “He will swallow up death forever.” (Isaiah 25: 8) Not only that but, “The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 25: 8)
His Perfect Peace
As faithfulness of our God is looked at, there’s another perfected quality He exhibits. What’s that, you ask? It’s perfect peace. “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26: 3)
This peace is not only of Him, but it’s for us. His peace is a weapon. He “Established peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.” (Isaiah 26: 12)

His Perfect Love
As I read the Psalms here’s what is said about God’s faithful love: “Great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.” (Psalm 117: 2)

His Perfect Prayer
Is there a perfect prayer we could pray for one another, or even for ourselves? I found this nugget as I was seeing Paul exhorting his friends in the Thessalonian church. He prayed the perfect prayer. He prayed, “That the love everyone of you have for each other is increasing.” (2 Thessalonians 1: 3)
- Pray for an increased love.
- His perfect love removes fear.
“Perfect love casts out fear.” (1 John 4: 18) Fear paralyzes and keeps us from doing God’s will. So if we are walking in perfect love (Agape) we will carry out God’s will and purpose to mankind.
His perfect love does not mean we are perfect. It means we, “By His power, He may fulfill every good purpose and every act prompted by faith.” (2 Thessalonians 1: 11)
- Perfected prayer is a prayer that God will bring to fulfillment in our walk.
For what purpose? That, “The name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (2 Thessalonians 1: 12)
