Not Knowing Where to Go

We need to retrain the way we think and align our thoughts with God’s truth.

If you’re feeling confused about where to start or where to go in this kingdom-building, you are not alone.  The disciples of Jesus didn’t know either.  Thomas asked this, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?  Jesus answered him, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”  (John 14: 5-6)

The only way to know where you are going is through Jesus.

Let Him transform you through and through.  He is not one of the ways, He is THE WAY.

Right after this lesson about being “The Way,” He introduces the promise of the Holy Spirit.  He tells them about another “Counselor who will be with us forever–the Spirit of Truth.”  (John 14: 15-16)

We need Truth since we have been living under the influence of the liar himself, Satan.  He deceives, lies and steals. We don’t want to go that way.

To model the life of Jesus we can only do that through the Holy Spirit inside of us.

If we want to know what Kingdom children look like—look to Jesus.  He is our role model.

The Holy Spirit is the one that enables us to understand what we see in Jesus and what we hear in His teachings and gives us the power to carry them out.

His oil is in our veins now.  The life-giving blood of Jesus is our DNA now, as Kings and Queens of God.  Not only do we need to model Jesus, but we need to think like Him.  This is a process!

What is the first step in this process?  Believe who He says you are!

If He says I am the daughter of the Most High God, I must believe it.

If He says I am an ambassador representing my King then I must believe it.

Satan has been whispering lies in our ears way too long telling us we don’t measure up, or that we are not good enough to be called royal.  We are not able and not good enough without Jesus.

We are now who we are IN Christ because of what His death on the cross did for us–set us free from those lies.  We must get rid of that “stinking thinking.”

How do we do that?  Retrain the way we think and align our thoughts with God’s truth.  We were told, Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  THEN, you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–His good, pleasing and perfect will.  (Romans 12: 1-2)

Kingdom-thinking is allowing our mind to be trained and transformed by His Word, and by the Holy Spirit, who brings truth to us.

Brothers and sisters, sons and daughters of God, we have to make some healthy choices to nurture our Kingdom call.  The first place to go is to His Word, to His promises, and to the place of worship. Cultivate this into your life on a regular basis and watch the life in the Holy Spirit begin to bloom and blossom.

As His royal priesthood and chosen people, we are to be restored to our rightful place and position IN HIM.  We are royal heirs of His domain.

As an Ambassador, we are called to those who are enslaved in the Kingdom of Darkness to set them free so they can become citizens of God’s Kingdom of Light.

KINGDOM PRINCIPLE:  The first place of not knowing where to go; is to go to the one who knows where we are going.  Go to the place of surrender, allowing the Spirit to lead and guide.
