Look Up

This is not a season to get caught in the doom and gloom that appears to be looming in the natural.

I often set aside extra time during my day just to get in the presence of God and seek Him. Recently, during one of those extra times with the Lord, I had a prophetic vision. In the vision, I knew I was seeing through someone else’s eyes. I got the sense that I was seeing through the perspective of the majority of believers in America in this hour.

As I saw through this person’s eyes, they were looking down. I could see everything that is currently taking place in the natural in America and in the nations of the world. I could see the chaos and unrest of the nations. I could see the tragedy and suffering of so many. I could see the economic and social turmoil and the immorality and corruption that seem to be everywhere. I then heard the Lord say, “Look up.” Then as this person lifted their eyes in the vision, I could see clear, beautiful blue skies. Then I felt clarity, peace, and joy wash over me.

As I prayed about the vision, the Lord started to unpack the meaning. Many in America in this hour are looking in the natural and have lowered their heads in worry and defeat. They are overwhelmed and discouraged by what they are seeing. Some may even feel paralyzed by fear of what is happening or could happen. However, just like in the vision, I believe the Lord is calling each of us to look up in this season. We are to look up and see things from Heaven’s perspective. This call to look up reminded me of Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” This is our assignment in this season, to look up and set our gaze on whatever is good and true. We can easily be swayed by what we see with our natural eyes but it is time for the body of Christ to see through the eyes of the Lord and look up!

As we lift our heads, we will see everything differently. When we have a heavenly perspective, we will think with a Kingdom mindset. There is hope for America and for the nations. There is hope in the midst of the chaos and calamity in the earth. There is hope for whatever situation you may be facing. There is absolutely nothing too hard for God and nothing takes Him by surprise. In this season, remove toxic voices. Remove anything that fills you with fear or dread. This is not a season to get caught in the doom and gloom that appears to be looming in the natural. Instead, look up and see what Heaven sees! Be filled with joy and peace and allow the Lord to bring you clarity for everything you are facing. In this hour, look up!
