Kingdom Walking

It is He who tramples down our enemy, as we establish our authority over him.

Our prince, who is our King Jesus, has placed those shoes on our feet.  We have been given a perfect pair of beautiful feet that carry and advance the gospel.  Let’s look at some of the scriptures on feet and see the importance of walking and standing in His shoes.

1)  “He has set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”  (Psalm 40: 2a)

Prior to that, it says, “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire.”  (Psalm 40: 2a)

Kingdom-minded folks stand on the solid rock of Jesus, our Rock.

2)  “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”  (Psalm 119: 105)

Kingdom-minded believers know the more light shown on our path, the clearer our walk will be.

3)  “The Lord said to my Lord; “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.”  (Matthew 22:44)

Kingdom-minded believers know their position is at His right hand, as God places our enemies under our feet in victory.

It is He who tramples down our enemy, as we establish our authority over him.

4)  Zachariah’s word over his son, John the Baptist, “And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High, to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”  (Luke 1: 76, 79)

Kingdom-minded believers walk into those in the darkness as peace will surround their path.

5)  The most famous of all the scriptures is, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?  And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?  And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  And how can they preach unless they are sent?  As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”  (Romans 10: 14-15)

God asked a question in the book of Isaiah that was a turning point in my relationship with the Lord.  He asked, Isaiah, as he saw the train of the robe of Jesus filled the temple.  And he saw the seraph and the angelic hosts calling out saying, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory.”

At the sound of their voices, the doorposts and the threshold of the temple shook and was filled with smoke.  One of the angels took a live coal in his hand with tongs from the altar and “He touched his mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips, your guilt is taken away and your sin is atoned for.”

This is the part that sent me weeping across my bed, as the Holy Spirit showed up in my room:  “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send?  And who will go for us?  And I said, “Here am I, send me!  He said, “Go and tell this people.”  (Isaiah 6: 8)

As a follower of Jesus Christ, His children follow in His footsteps.  Jesus called His apostles by saying, “Follow me.”

  • To follow, we must walk.
  • To walk, we must go.

John in Revelation says this:  “I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus…”  (Revelation 1: 9)

John heard the voice and he saw the Son of man, standing before him in all of His glory and says this about His feet, “His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace and His voice was like the sound of rushing waters.”  (Revelation 1: 15)

  • Your feet are polished and shining just as the feet of Jesus.
  • The places Jesus takes you into are to the places He is taking Himself.

He has said, “Every place where you put (set) your feet, I am giving you.”  (Joshua 1: 3)

  • Get ready to cross over into your promised land.

The shoes and the feet God has given to you, fit.

  • You walk in His footsteps as you go.
  • You walk in His anointing.
  • You walk into all that He has purposed because you have said, “Here I am!  Send me!”

KINGDOM PRINCIPLE:  We have been given the opportunity to proclaim freedom in the way we walk and talk!  “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”  (Isaiah 52: 7)
