Look to the Mountains

Man was born to carry and complete what God started.

What is so significant about the mountains?  Remember Isaiah spoke about the mountains saying, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, Your God Reigns!”  (Isaiah 52: 7)

What mountains is he talking about?  We have focused on the good news being brought forth.  Yes, the good news of the gospel.

Here’s another look at the mountains from his writings. “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”  (Isaiah 54: 10)  Yes, there is a shaking going on.

It was on the mountain the Lord provided as Abraham was about to sacrifice his son.

In great faith, Abraham proclaimed, calling that place, “The Lord will provide.  And to this day, it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”  (Genesis 22: 14)

We see in scripture the “Mountain of the Lord” is a phrase referring to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

  • Kingdom-minded believers establish a place of worship.

Moses was called up to the mountain for instructions.

He went up And the glory settled on Mt. Sinai.  For six days the cloud covered the mountain and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud.”  (Exodus 24: 15-16)

  • Kingdom-minded sons and daughters realize that God shall complete what He began on this earth, through them.

Remember that the number six is man’s number, and seven is the number of completeness.

Man was born to carry and complete what God started.

  • Kingdom-minded kids are glory carriers who shall empower the mountains (spheres) of influence.

Question:  How do we begin?  We begin by looking up! “I lift my eyes to the hills–Where does my help come from? (Psalm 121: 1)

Answer: Help is on the way.   “My help comes from the Lord the Maker of heaven and earth.”  (Psalm 121: 2)

KINGDOM PRINCIPLE:  Before we take the mountains, we have to look to the mountains.  Covenants were established on mountains.
